PROLOGUE – The Forest Whispers Death
The bodies were piling up.
It started with whispers in the back alleys of Raccoon City—gruesome murders on the outskirts of town, bodies torn apart, half-eaten like roadkill. The media called it cult activity. The Raccoon Police Department (RPD) didn't know what to call it. And as the summer air grew heavier, so did the fear.
When the first Bravo Team helicopter vanished into the dense maze of Raccoon Forest, the Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) had no choice. They dispatched Alpha Team to investigate—one last mission, a simple retrieval.
It should have been a routine extraction.
But nothing about the Spencer Mansion was routine.
