Chapter 4 - growing apart

Romeo graduated the next year.

Juliet watched him walk out the gates of Hyosan High School without ever looking back. No goodbye. No sign that he remembered the girl who once said, "I like you," with fire in her eyes and hope in her heart.

And just like that, he was gone.

Juliet returned to her world—ruling the corridors, flipping attitudes like textbooks, and carrying the weight of an untold love behind every punch and glare. But something had changed in her.

She stopped waiting by the senior hallway.

Stopped watching the basketball court.

But she didn't stop loving.

She threw herself into her studies with a kind of fury only heartbreak could fuel. Her dream of becoming a fashion designer took root in that pain. The colors she chose were sharp, her designs bold and angry—just like her. But every line she sketched held a trace of him.

Meanwhile, Romeo moved on.

He studied medicine. Became a doctor.

And somewhere along the way… he got married.

Juliet found out through someone else's Instagram story.

She stared at the post for hours. No tears. No drama. Just silence.

A silence that screamed louder than her anger ever could.

People came into her life—good men, kind souls—who wanted to know her, love her, marry her.

But Juliet said no. Every time.

Because none of them were him.

And she knew they never would be.

The world changed. Juliet rose in fame.

But her heart?

It stayed exactly where it had always been—stuck in a school hallway, watching a boy walk away.
