Ronan's collapsed body flashed in my mind again. I twisted away from Damien's lap, yanking my clothes straight with shaking hands.
"No," I managed, my voice steadier than I felt. Without waiting for his response, I bolted from my own bedroom.
I ran blindly through the hallways, not caring who might see me. My cheeks burned with shame, but worse was the lingering ache between my thighs. My body had betrayed me in the most humiliating way possible.
