I stared in horror as Ronan's body went completely limp in my arms, his weight nearly pulling me down to the ground with him. His face had turned an alarming shade of gray, lips taking on a bluish tint that made my blood run cold.
"Help! Someone help us!" I screamed, my voice echoing across the courtyard.
My hands trembled as I lowered him to the ground, frantically checking for a pulse. It was there, but weak and erratic. His chest barely moved with shallow breaths.
"Ronan, please," I whispered, patting his cheeks. "Wake up. Come on, wake up!"
The sound of running footsteps made me look up. Kaelen and Orion were racing toward us, their expressions shifting from confusion to panic when they saw their brother on the ground.
"What happened?" Kaelen demanded, dropping to his knees beside Ronan.
"I don't know! We were just walking, and he collapsed!" My voice cracked with fear. Despite everything between us, seeing him like this was terrifying.
