"That's not it," Zayne defended. "I didn't act like she didn't exist. I was… Listen she feels the spark constantly with me and I thought if I gave her space, she'd…"
"Want you?"
"Something like that."
"And it backfired?" Caesar felt amused. "You didn't even just do that, you went ahead to let her go."
Zayne glared. "I didn't let her go."
"What would you call that then? You decided to cancel the contract between the two of you. The only thing holding you two together."
"Yes, and I don't regret that."
