Chapter 1 - A coffee shop

It was a warm spring day in the city of Kyoto, the old capital of the rising sun.

Our focus of this story was a quaint little cafe that was somewhat unusual. It looked out of place considering its western exterior and the combo of eastern design. if there was a word those of old blood would use, it would be strange.

The owner was dressed in western style and was obviously born of one native parent and a western one. His hair was a neat shade of blonde and his eyes a sapphire blue. He wore a suit and tie that gave him an air of professionalism and an otherworldly allure.

His cafe was on the verge of being finished setting up. His coffee machines were ready, his furnitutre was clean and polished, and his whole interior was as clean as could be.

He was waiting for his promised first customer and his partner in crime, for a lack of a better word. He wasn't made to wait long. In came a lovely women, with ample beauty in all the right areas. Her chest was especially stuffed to the brim with the blessings of heaven and earth. Her kimono was also loose, allowing for ample cleavage to be shown, adding to her lustful persona. Yasaka, leader of the west yokai faction in Japan.

"You did not disappoint Touma" said Yasaka with familiarity, her expression of his first name showing closeness. "Of course, can't let the queen of yokai be seen in a filthy establishment can I?"

His words were a joking tone, show how close they were. First name basis and casual joking, just who was he.

Touma Tsuchimikado, a bastard of the prestigious Tsuchimikado clan and he was under the patronage of Yasaka.

It wasn't hidden why he was disdained by his own clan, even with his extraordinary magical power. He was a bastard, brough about by tainted blood. If it was another onmyoji, things might have been different, but it was demon blood, blood of the heathen west.

"I think it doesn't really matter does it?" said Yasaka as she waved her hand very flippantly. "Were yokai, we don't conform to the same standards you do." "While your not wrong, you should think about your image once in a while" said Touma as he got out a glass. "What can I get our esteemed guest?" he asked.

"How about some green tea" said Yasaka as Touma nodded and got to work. He boiled the water, poured in the tea leaves and let it simmer before he poured the tea in a glass and handed it off.

"Ah, nice and hot" said Yasaka as she took a sip, savoring the divine taste of the tea in her mouth. It was almost cute in a way.

"Well, I was taught by the best tea maker you had" he said with a grin. "Your not wrong, Im still amazed you got him to teach you his methods of growing and making tea" said Yasaka with no small amount of surprise.

The ring of a bell echoed in the shop. In walked a customer who was dressed in what would be considered medical attire. His stylized green cap, and a sword which radiated a holy light by his side, it seemed as if he might be someone from the church. Then again, the light he wielded wasn't angelic, so maybe a different god?

He looked mighty confused, considering the facial expressions he was making. Next to him was a light blue orb with wings that resembled insects. It almost made Touma act without thought and begin to exterminate it. But it didn't feel like the otherworldly neighbors he knew of.

"Hey Link! This doesn't feel like Hyrule" said the blueish fairy by the name of Navi. Touma recognized her, not only because of his two lifetimes worth of experience but also because the games were popular here too.

"Hyrule?" asked Yasaka while looking at Touma who looked like he knew the answer. "A place from a game franchise by nintendo, it seems the cafe can connect to other worlds if this is any future indication."

"Ah, wouldn't be the first time like this has happened. Though, it was more other realms like Asgard than truely different worlds" said Yasaka as she downed her tea, and while making note of the strange magic within, decided to leave and attend to her duties as a ruler of West Kyoto yokai.

"Well, sorry for that buddy. Welcome to the Kyoto Sweet Spot, or KSS, how may I help you?" he drawled. it was a lot of work to get the cafe running so he was feeling a little tired, not much mind you.

"Uh, where are we?" asked Link as he looked around. It felt like a dungeon to him, as the place was inundated with supernatural force. Link was cautious, but he wasn't paranoid to always assume the worst, even if he should considering the state of Hyrule right now with Ganondorf ruling it.

"Kyoto" said Touma as he gestured to a seat at his counter to which Link sat. While it was a cafe, it also was a somewhat combined izekaya Restaraunt as well so he slid some hot food to the boy who looked like he was hungry.

"Kyoto?" asked Link as Navi spoke up. "That's not a province of Hyrule" said Navi and Link looked at the owner weirdly. "Of course, its a different world you know" Touma casually remarked. Link had a blank look about him before deciding to accept it and shunt it off to another side of his mind. He just couldn't give an utter damn about it.

"What food is this?" said Link as he eyed the hot and steamy food. "Its Kaarage, Japanese fried chicken" said Touma as he scooched it closer to Link. Link took one using a fork which was nearby and took a bite.

It was delicious, like a heavenly sent gift from the three goddesses themselves. It almost made link act in an embarrassing manner before Navi stopped him.

"Link, we talked about this" whined Navi as she pinched his cheek. It looked very odd for Touma but he has seen weirder in his life. It wasn't worth mentioning. "It's good" said Link in a low whispered. "Of course it is, its my cooking after all. Would you like more?" asked Touma as Link nodded. He was then sent away with a packed lunch box and some drinks for the road.

He waved goodbye and Navi seemingly waved bye as well as they closed the door behind them.

The KSS got quiet after Links visit. Touma, being bored, decided to work on making things. It was one of the things he was good at, maikiing and constructing items with their powers elevated above their counterparts.

Using the elements of wood and metal, he began to craft a simple sword. Granted, the sword, without furhter enchantment, could easily cleave apart even the toughest of metals, of which he tested. It was something that was quite an honor to see in this life.

As he was about to imbue the sword with onmyojutsu, the bell of his cafe rung like a lullaby and in came more customers. They, however, were quite strange and looked to be of similar make to the yokai, bundles of negative energy and concepts given form.

Touma walked over there, putting the sword away in a storage area as he looked up on his customers. One was a monk, dressed like a Buddhist monk cassock and all. One had a volcanoes on top of his head, and the other was a completely white humanoid with wooden horns coming from its head.

"Hello, welcome to the Kyoto Sweet Spot, KSS, how may I help you?" Touma put on his best serving voice, and made sure to hide talismans in case he needed to do an exorcism later. It's not like they could do anything in here anyway.

"Oh, you can see us?" said the one in a monks outfit. Touma looked at him with dead eyes that said "Yep, now what do you want to order?"

"Man, I'll take a dark espresso please!""Ill have something spicy""Plant vitamins for me". TOuma went to the back and began to prepare food and drink. For the spicy food, he decided spicy ramen was a good choice to use. After preparing the food, he grabbed a packet of supernatural plant vitamins, Inari-powder.

He poured it into a cup and served the customers what they order. "wow, this tastes good" said the monk. "Yes, these noodles are divine. Almost makes me want to spare you" said the volcano head as a good amount of heat gathered around him.

From his hand, point blank, a ray was fired and hit me in the stomach. They were then confused when Touma wasn't harmed, and seemed to flinch when the sword he stored away was suddenly brought to light.
