After that, they start walking towards the Academy office. They are walking on footpath and Alice is watching cars and bikes. There is a huge clock tower in the Demon district. It's so high and big that everyone in Demon district can see it easily.
After a few minutes, they reach the office. Kalp and Alice go inside. There is no one except a woman who is ready to leave. They meet at the entrance. Inside, Kalp and Alice can not see due to the darkness. She has a short red hair, wearing a white shirt, a blue check skirt and a blue robe. She is twenty-five years old. Her name is Emily.
'Excuse me, we are here for registration.' Alice said.
'Sorry, the office is closed now, you can come tomorrow, after 10 AM.' Emily said.
'Okay, thank you ma'am.' Kalp said and then Kalp and Alice left from there.
Kalp and Alice are standing in front of Academy office.
'So, where will you go now?' Kalp asked.
'I am going to book an Inn.' Alice said.
'That's great, let's go together.' Kalp says with joy.
After that, both go to an Inn. The Inn has two floors. There is a lady of about twenty five years at the reception.
'Good evening, sir and ma'am.' receptionist says with a smile.
'Good evening, we need two single rooms.' Kalp says.
'Okay sir, let me check' Receptionist said and look in a register book.
'Yes sir, luckily there are only two rooms left here and the cost per room is 25 silver coins.' Receptionist said.
'25 sliver? It's more than double than the Inn of York city.' Kalp thought.
'Okay, fine, here are 25 silver coins.' Alice said and gave 25 silver coins to the receptionist.
'Thank you, ma'am.' The receptionist says
'Here is 25 slivers.' Kalp says with a fake smile, 'My 25 sliver has gone.' Kalp thinks and his mind becomes sad.
'Thank you sir, please follow me. I'll show you your rooms.' The receptionist says, takes two keys and moves towards stairs leading to the first floor.
There are twelve rooms on the first floor. The receptionist stops at room number 106 and opens the door. Walls of the room has painted white and there are a single bed, a table and a chair. There is also an attached washroom inside the room. There is a crystal switch here, by which we can switch the light on or off. There is no Mana crystal which glows but looks like a Mana bulb. Inside the bulb there is a small Mana crystal.
'Thank God, at least, I won't have any problem while sleeping at night because of the light.' Kalp thought.
After a while Kalp and Alice go to their rooms. Kalp starts thinking while lying on the bed.
'I need to know who created this capital. That person must be from my world and I think only that person can tell me how and why I came to this world.' Kalp thought.
After a while, Kalp falls asleep.
The next morning, Kalp and Alice come down the stairs to go outside.
'Excuse me, can you tell me, where I can find library? Kalp asked.
'Sir, it is on the road number 4 near Good restaurant.' Receptionist says.
'Road number 4?' Kalp asked.
'Oh, it is on road number 3 and behind this building, there is road no. 4, you can take bus or you can go by walk. It's not far.' Receptionist said.
'Thank you.' Kalp said.
Kalp and Alice leave the Inn and go towards Academy office. They see there is a very long line in front of the school office.
'Looks like, these people have also come here to register.' Kalp said.
'Yes, we should have come earlier. Now, we have to wait.' Alice said.
'Yes, but what can we do now?' Kalp said.
Both are standing in a line. After a few hours their turn comes. At reception, there are two women, one is Emily and other is also around twenty-five years old. Her skin tone is black, her hair is black, curly and short. Her name is Imani.
She registers the details. Emily took people to another room. There are three men, whose age is between twenty-five to thirty years. Two men are arranging people in line and another is helping Imani to register. They all are in white shirt, light blue check skirt or trousers and light blue robe with white border.
'Next. Show me your Identification certificate.' Imani said.
Kalp gives his certificate and then Emily takes Kalp and Alice with eight more people to another room. Emily has registration forms of all ten people. In another room, there is a stone just like Kalp in the Oracle when measuring his Mana but size is smaller.
'Okay everyone, I will call your name, one by one you will come, measure your Mana and give your registration number batch. In selection exam, you will be known as your batch number, so don't lose it, Max.' Emily said and Max goes towards Mana measuring stone and touches it.
He has a black skin tone, very short and curly black hair. He is slim, 5'11 tall and sixteen-years-old.
'Red stage and sixth primary stage.' Emily said and she gave him number batch.
'Wow! Amazing.' A few people said in a low sound.
'Next, Lily.' Emily says, and Lily goes towards Mana measuring stone and touches it.
She has black long hair and fair skin.
'Red stage fifth primary stage. Next, Alice.' Emily says and Alice goes towards Mana measuring stone and touches it.
'Amazing, orange stage first primary stage.' Emily says and gives her a number batch;
'Wow! So amazing and she is very beautiful too.' A boy in crowd said.
After a while, everyone's chance comes one by one.
'Next Kalp.' Emily said.
'Man, it's going to be so embarrassing.' Kalp thought.
Kalp goes and touches the stone and as usual, nothing happens.
'What happened? Nothing is happening in stone.' Lily said.
'Why is nothing happening? Is the stone broken something?' Alice thought.
'Why isn't anything happening?' Emily said to herself.
'Actually, I lost Mana in an accident.' Kalp said with a smile.
'What?' Emily said with a shock.
Everyone in room is shocked and everyone laughs except Alice and Emily.
'Then, why are you trying to join Academy?' Emily asked.
'I know I don't have any Mana but I know swordsmanship.' Kalp said with confident.
'Are you sure? You could die.' Emily asked.
'Yes I am.' Kalp said without hesitation.
'Okay fine.' Emily says and she gives him a number batch.
Kalp sees the batch number. It's 618.
'Okay, now everyone can go and come to North gate at 11PM, all the best for the selection in exam and you have to submit your luggage here before 10 PM. You can take necessary things with you on selection and if you pass the exam then your luggage will be transferred directly to the school and if you don't pass, you can take that from here.' Emily explained.
'If we have storage bag?' Max asked.
'Then you can take it with you.' Emily said and everyone went out.
Kalp and Alice stands in front of Academy office.
'Kalp, why do you so desperate to join Cosbreeds school if you know that you don't have Mana?' Alice asked.
'Wow! Alice spoke my name and for the first time, asked something about me.' Kalp said teasing Alice.
'Well, I have some reasons and I will tell you if you tell me one thing.' Kalp said.
'Now, tell me why you are always so serious, cold and uninterested to talk to anyone.' Kalp asked.
'It's none of your business.' Alice said.
'See, everyone has secrets when you tell me yours, I will tell you mine' Kalp said.
'Fine, I am not interested in your secret.' Alice said.
'So, we have a few hours. Till then what will you do?' Kalp asked.
'I have some work, so I am going.' Alice said.
'Okay, I have to go to the library. So, we will meet at Inn at 9 PM.' Kalp said.
'Okay.' Alice said.
'Till then bye, take care.' Kalp says and both move to different ways.
