The slime was colorless.
Or maybe it seemed like a blend of every color.
'That's not either,' Noa thought, his hands still moving to catch the uninvited criminal who dared to listen to their conversation.
Perhaps a mix of every color should have created a white shade.
But the slime lacked shades as well, appearing devoid of every possible color imaginable.
It also slithered around the floor, cold and distant, absorbing all light and leaving behind no sound, no heat, no trail.
Noa watched it appear and reappear.
The slime passed behind rows of books, then vanished entirely.
Its absence lasted only for a moment before it emerged once more, nearing Mia. A shapeless blob of energy, barely visible, was drawn to his little, adorable sister, and there was no way he would stay still.
So he continued his attempts to catch it.
No one else reacted.
Noa was the only one who noticed the slime.
