Chapter 4 - GOD OF COMBAT

"Are you listening? I said you will come with us regardless of your will!" Scar snapped, ready to use force.

He couldn't let his meal ticket just walk away, or it would be throwing away the food served on his plate.

Dodging another of Scar's grabs, Nash frowned, thinking of a way out.

His body was too weak to put up any decent fight.

While on his thoughts, Jakob came from behind, attempting to give him a bear hug.

"Too predictable," Nash thought, squatting down as he forced his arms up to Jakob's family jewels, squeezing and twisting them with his hand.

"Ahhhh!" Jakob screamed as if he were being butchered.

"Y-you despicable!" Scar pointed, trembling as if he felt Jakob's pain.

"Just a warm-up," Nash said, shaking his head as he felt his hand getting tainted.

"I'll kill you!" Coming to his senses, Jakob lunged his fist at Nash.

"The motion is too wide; the intent is too obvious; even a kid can dodge your attack," Nash commented, kicking Jakob's acupoint on his knee, cracking it and pinning him to the ground.

"Ahhhh!" Screaming in pain, Jakob had a tearful face.

What is happening?

Is he dreaming, or is this kid really a monster?

They were kindly bringing him to a better life, yet this is how he retaliates?

Feeling his groin jolting in pain and his knees numbing, his whole body, Jakob had already closed his eyes and lost his will to fight.

Seeing this, Scar was not deterred; he thought Jakob was too careless, causing him to fall by himself.

Throwing a punch, Nash dodged it effortlessly, making Scar angrier.

As the punching continued, Nash seemed able to predict Scar's moves, dodging with just a tilt of his head and a move of his body.

"Is that all?" Nash asked boredly.

He thought the people in this world would be stronger or at least have a variety of new fighting styles.

It seemed to be worse than he had thought.

In his previous life, while Nash was on his way to the top, assassination and kidnapping were like his daily dose of exercise.

Not wanting to suddenly die on his way to the peak, Nash temporarily put aside his work and trained like a maniac.

First, he transformed his body into a tireless beast that could withstand any consumption.

After achieving physical perfection, he trained and fought with the very best, from soldier kings, mercenary gods, boxing champions, and martial arts masters; having money he couldn't spend, he invited all the top fighters from around the world.

With the ability to instantly decipher and connect all patterns he saw, Nash's fighting prowess unknowingly reached the top of the world.

All the opponents he faced, as long as he had seen similar moves, were like children connecting two dots in a straight line.

Dodging Scar's attacks, Nash didn't even expend much of his energy.

"Enough of this. Kneel down for me," he said softly, countering Scar's punch, pinning him down, and using a kick to bring him to the ground.

Crack~

"Ahhhh!" With pain coursing through his body, Scar screamed louder than Jakob.

Seeing Scar kneeling and screaming, Jakob felt a little better.

As the saying goes, fear not the worst, but fear your friend being better than you.

"Quiet," Nash ordered coldly, shutting Scar down.

Although Scar didn't want to admit it, deep down, a fear made him subconsciously obey Nash's orders.

"Good, it seems that you can still be taught after all," Nash said with satisfaction.

"Now, do you remember what I told you to do?" Nash asked politely with a smile.

However, seeing this was like a devil telling them to end their own lives.

"Y-yes, we will tell Lady Camilla to forget about Young Master and not bother you anymore!" Jakob quickly answered, sounding like a loyal devotee.

"Hmm, no, scratch that. It would only make things more troublesome." Since he had already beaten them to their knees, Nash didn't want to expose himself.

"T-then what do we do, Young Master?" they asked, like waiting for a decree.

"If anyone asks, just say you tripped. You didn't see me at all, is that clear?"

"Yes! We are only hallucinating about meeting the handsome descendant of god!"

"What a good flatterer. It seems you were raised well," Nash said with satisfaction.

"We thank you for your praise, Young Master!"

Heaving a sigh of relief, Jakob and Scar hoped Nash would leave as soon as possible.

"Oh, that's right. I don't have any money on me. Can I borrow some from you?"

Initially, Nash had planned to go to the dump site to make quick cash.

Now, seeing a sentient ATM walk toward him, how could he not withdraw some money?

"T-this—wait a minute, Young Master," Scar and Jakob said reluctantly.

Although reluctant, Scar and Jakob rummaged through their clothes, showing Nash they were giving him all their stash money.

"Hmm, only 87 Arls?" Nash frowned, looking at the 8 coins with a face value of 10 and the 7 coins with a face value of 1.

Arl coins are the currency promulgated by the Arlean Civilization.

It is the official currency used not only on Earth but also on Arlean Civilization's home planet.

Thus, although it might seem low, 87 Arls was something the previous body couldn't earn in a month.

"Young Master, this is all we have. Please have mercy on us!" Scar and Jakob trembled, bowing at Nash's feet.

"Alright, enough of that. Go back to where you came from. I still have something to do." Nash said, wanting to get some other food.

The termite snack he had earlier still left an acidic taste in his mouth.

"Right away, Young Master. Be safe on your journey!" Scar and Jakob said, not daring to look until Nash disappeared.

Soon, after hearing Nash's footsteps fade, Scar and Jakob held their bodies in pain as the adrenaline dissipated.

"Hiss, I think I'll have trauma seeing anyone beautiful in the future..." Jakob said tearfully.

"Who said he was a weak pretty boy? Isn't he a devil in disguise? Maybe he was already a transcendent warrior playing with us..." Scar added.

Sympathizing with each other's pain, they vowed never to appear in Nash's presence again.
