Chapter 9 - Chapter 9

Elian

I walked into the dining room, my eyes taking in the grandeur of the breakfast spread. Aurelia's scent still lingered in the air from our shared bed, a memory of warmth and comfort. I spotted Raina and made my way towards her, taking a seat beside her. "How are you, Raina?" I asked, concern lacing my voice. I remembered the tension between Raina and Tristan yesterday.

Raina smiled at me, her eyes sparkling. "I'm fine, Elian. Tristan didn't get the best of me" she replied. My attention was drawn to the warmth of her scent, filling the air, never losing that controlling essence. I sent her a smile, wishing for more. "Are you excited for your initiation into the pack, Elian?" Raina inquired, breaking into my thoughts. Excitement rippled through me. "Yes" I answered, "More than anything."

Aurelia entered the room, her presence commanding, captivating. She wore a flowing dress, the fabric shimmering under the chandelier's glow. I watched, mesmerized, as she took her seat at the head of the table. She turned to me, her smile a curve of promises. "Anything interesting happen while I was away?" Her eyes glinted mischievously, sensing my thoughts. I flushed, turning my gaze away.

"I asked Raina about yesterday and my enlightenment" I answered, her eyes locked onto mine. The words hung in the air, a shimmering mirage of unsaid desires. "You're eager for it, aren't you?" Her voice was a whisper, a branding iron marking the air between us. My heart skipped a beat, my body flush with a primal need. I nodded, her scent igniting something deep within me.

"What is enlightenment, Aurelia?" I asked, my curiosity piqued, my heart pounding in my chest. I shifted in my chair, feeling the tension between us. She spread her legs, placed her hands on the table, her gaze fixed on me. "It's a ritual of initiation, a test of will and fear, a rite of passage for omegas to choose their alpha."

Her full lips curved into a smile, her eyes gleaming. "And the omega must prove themselves to be worthy" she added, her voice sultry, sending a ripple of desire through me.

Raina leaned closer, mischief glinting in her eyes. "Oh, you know what enlightenment is" she whispered. "It's... it's acceptance" I stammered, my face flushing a deep red. "No, Elian" Raina chuckled. "It's... camel riding." A laugh burst out, almost choking me, breaking the tension. Aurelia raised an eyebrow, her gaze flitting between Raina and me. "And exactly what does camel riding have to do with acceptance?"

Raina laughed, "It's not literally camel riding" she clarified, sending me a playful wink. "It's about, uh, how big a camel's hump is." My face flushed, a wave of embarrassment washing over me. "And why should I worry about that?" I asked, my voice careful, suppressing the urge to roll my eyes.

Aurelia's gaze locked onto mine, a shimmering heat sparking between us. "You're think-ing dirty thoughts, omega" she whispered, a playful smile playing on her lips. I blushed hotly, averting my gaze. "Maybe, Alpha" I murmured, teasing her. She stood up, moving towards me with predatory grace. She sat on the edge of the table, inches from me, her scent filling the air.

"And when is this enlightenment?" I asked, shifting in my seat, my heart beating a little faster. The tension between us was palpable, a shimmering mirage of promises. Aurelia's head tilted slightly, her eyes gleaming in the candlelight. "Tomorrow, at sunset" she whispered, a soft, sultry tone in her voice. My breath hitched, my pulse pounding in my ears. "Are you ready, Elian?"

Aurelia reached out, her fingers trailing along my jaw, igniting a spark. "Or do you need more time?" Her eyes bore into mine, daring me to defy her. I swallowed, my mouth suddenly dry. "No" I murmured, "I'm ready now." She smiled, a glimpse of canines. "Good. You should be. Ready, that is." Her fingers viajeed along my neck, tracing the mark. "It will hurt, a little."

Aurelia stood up, breaking the spell. She walked back to her seat, her hips swaying, every movement charged with dominance. Just as she sat down, the door opened, and Tristan entered. His gaze darted from me to Aurelia, his scent laden with challenge. "My apologies for the interruption" he said, his gaze lingering on me. Aurelia's eyes narrowed, her scent sharpening.

Tristan's entrance changed the atmosphere, tension humming like a discordant note strumming into a melody. His eyes locked onto mine, territorial, possessive and my heart hammered against my ribcage. The power dynamic shifted, the air thickening. "What do you want, Tristan?" Aurelia barked, her scent commanding, territorial.

Tristan met my eyes, a challenge gleaming. "A word, Alpha?" he asked, his tone smooth, ensuring he retained an air of respect. Aurelia nodded, her gaze holding his. Tristan took his seat, filling the room. I watched as he reached out, his fingers brushing an empty plate. "I came to eat with the Alpha pack" he said, his gaze again flicking to me.

Tristan's hand lingered on the plate, his eyes turning to Aurelia. "Unless" he smirked, "you're saving it for your omega." Aurelia's eyes flashed, her scent dark and dangerous. She leaned in, her voice a low growl. "Elian is my omega, Tristan. Not yours." The air was charged, pregnant with tension. I held my breath, silence stretching between them. Tristan smiled, a cruel shutter passing over his face. "Very well, Alpha."

Tristan stood up, his chair screeching against the marble floor. His eyes lingered on me, a predatory gleam in them. "Enjoy your meal" he whispered, his voice a low rumble. He turned and walked out, the heavy oak door slamming behind him, leaving behind a resounding silence and an unsettling aura. Aurelia's gaze was steady on me, her scent shifting subtly, a hint of warmth breaking through her dominance.

I stood up, unbearably drawn to her. In two steps, I was inches from her, meeting her fiery gaze, my body trembling. My hands reached up, cupping her face, her skin warm against my fingertips. Aurelia's eyes flashed, alight with surprise, a skip in her breath. My lips descended on hers, hungry, desperate, all tongue and teeth. She responded fiercely, a groan vibrating in her throat, her hands possessively roaming my body.

Breath ragged, Aurelia broke the kiss, her eyes blazing, her breath warm against my lips. Her hands traveled up my body to my hair, tangling in the strands, gentle but unyielding. A whispered command, "If we continue, I will take you in I take of everyone. Don't do it."

"Don't stop" I breathed against her lips, my fingers digging into her shoulders,ILDians freshly blushed, eyes gleaming. Aurelia's hands dove into my hair, gripping it. "You test me, omega" she growled, nudging my head back to catch my gaze. "You evoke fire..." Her eyes burned like liquid gold. "And hunger." Her fingers traced the marking on my neck, a primal claiming.

"Aurelia" I breathed, feeling ready, hungry. "When enlightenment comes, then you will scream my name," she whispered, her eyes laced with anticipation, "And now, sit down and eat." She pushed me gently away, her scent shifting to a self-possessed calm, indicating I should comply. Still breathless, I returned to my chair. As I took a seat, Aurelia's lips turned up into a sultry grin.
