Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Lovely Birthday

Third Person POV

"Babe...others are waiting," Chelsea said to her husband, fluffing her hands over to his chest as he placed wet kisses on her neck, giving her chills.

"Then...let's do one round, please?" Magnus pleaded, his hands folded into hers as he stared directly at her.

"Okay...but be fast. Today it's my birthday, and I can't allow people to wait for me," Chelsea said. Immediately, Magnus grabbed her waist, pulling her onto the bed, while he started kissing her neck, and she moaned.

The door slid open, making Chelsea jerk off in fear. Fixing her half-revealing gown properly, she glanced at the door.

"Who is there?" Magnus asked, fixing his suit tie.

"It's me..." Gabriella walked in as she scanned the whole area, down to where Chelsea was.

"Okay...what's going on?" Magnus took a deep breath before uttering the words.

"Your sister, Michaela, calls for you," she said; Chelsea sighed lightly as she turned her back.

"Alright...my love, I'll be back," he said before walking out of the room without allowing Chelsea to say a word.

Chelsea folded her hands tightly while she got deep in thought; Michaela never loved her, not even for a bit. And calling her husband wasn't a good thing.

She had been married to Magnus for three years with love and happiness in it, but each time Michaela came into the picture, it felt like hell.

An hour had passed, and Chelsea was devastated over waiting for Magnus as she scratched her hair, making it messy enough.

Held her gown while she stumbled out of the room, with her eyes scanning every bit she could see of him.

But after countless hours of searching, she got tired as she walked sluggishly over to the open room beside the guest room downstairs.

"You better do this, since she is coming soon." Chelsea heard the familiar voice, and definitely, it was Michaela's own.

She walked closer to the door and spied at them a little from the opening.

"I will just drug her and make her pay. Then we can now have her family inheritance." Immediately, Chelsea heard the words, her heart started beating fast. Her anger was more toward the man she thought loved her, who betrayed her in such a manner.

"Then, we will let your real love come to you, big bro," Jeff said to Magnus, as he stood calmly without uttering a word.

Chelsea fled faster from the view as she held her chest while rushing over to the bathroom. Gasping for more air, her vision was blurry, making her stare at herself in the toilet mirror.

But just as she dripped water onto her face, footsteps grew bigger as they came closer to the door. Letting her close her mouth tightly while she glanced at the door.

Magnus walked in with his smiling face as he stared at her happily.

'Where have you been? Everyone had been looking for you." Magnus walked toward her as he held her face while placing a kiss.

Chelsea's body trembled as she looked directly into his eyes. Wanting to see the new version of him, his betrayal, and everything she just had.

"Are you okay, my love?" Magnus's sudden questions woke her from her thoughts, and she nodded without staring at him.

After her family had helped him, he went bankrupt in exchange for a marriage deal. She can't get her head wrapped around why he still loves Sabrin, his ex-lover, even after she went away and left him alone.

"Let's go to the party; it's your day, love!" He said as he grabbed her hands while they walked faster into the crowd.

Leaving, Chelsea stared at everyone; her whole world had been shattered.

Immediately, Magnus left her alone as he focused on his phone. Leaving her to scan the whole view, the smiling faces of everyone.

"Hey, Chelsea, we have been looking for you," Michaela said as she held two glasses of red wine.

"I'm here now!" Chelsea responded with a harsh tone, but Micheala didn't care much as she handed over the wine to her.

"Drink up, let's celebrate!" she screamed, inciting.

"Nah...I'm good," Chelsea denied as she pushed the drink over. Making it slash around the ground as Micheala's face turned darker and angrier.

"Why can't you be careful?" Micheala's tune changes instantly, bringing Chelsea to shock.

Chelsea felt the need to speak her mind, but she couldn't as Magnus came toward her.

Pulling her off the broken glass as he ordered men to clean it up.

"I can make you another drink if you don't mind," Michael suggested with a smirk.

Chelsea didn't blink an eye, but suddenly, someone walked toward her. Pushing her to the ground as her hands clenched in the broken glass.

Chelsea felt pain all over her body, her hands itching in pain as she stared at them. Hot tears dripped down her cheek, but surprisingly, Magnus bent down to lift her, but got held back.

"Magnus! Sabrina had been harassed at the airport! She screamed.

"What!" He shouted, leaving Chelsea all alone.
