Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: A Deal with the Pirate King

"If I told you I could cure your illness and help you escape, what would you choose?" Rimuru looked at Roger seriously. Personally, Rimuru admired Roger quite a bit—so if there was a way to save him, then why not? Whatever happened to the plot afterward wasn't his problem.

Roger fell silent. If there's a chance to live, who really wants to die?

"Why save me?" Roger asked, fixing his gaze on Rimuru.

"Isn't it obvious?" Milim blurted out before Rimuru could answer. "You know where the treasure is! We rescue you, and then you lead us there!"

"Ohhh, so that's the reason," Ramiris said, nodding as if it all made perfect sense.

Rimuru looked stunned. (⊙▽⊙!) "Wait—that's not what I meant!" But then again… it was kind of tempting. He was curious about the One Piece treasure.

"I see." Roger seemed to come to terms with it. "But anyone who discovers the treasure will never be let go by the World Government. Are you prepared to be hunted by the entire world?"

"What a load of crap!" Milim said dismissively. "If they get in our way, we'll just destroy them!"

"Exactly! You're seriously underestimating us Demon Lords," Ramiris added, pointing at Roger's nose indignantly. "I may be small, but I'm strong! And I'm also the Fairy Queen—backed by the entire Fairy Race!"

"Demon Lords…?" A flash of surprise passed through Roger's eyes.

"Then it's settled!" Milim declared. "Bestie, I'll take the first move!" Before Rimuru could stop her, she launched herself out of the prison.

"Milim!" Rimuru's eye twitched. "Don't just charge off like that!" But there was no stopping her now. With Milim's power, the navy outside was in for a very bad time.

"Ramiris," Rimuru said, turning to her, "can you turn this prison into a labyrinth? I'm going to start healing Roger."

"No problem at all!" Ramiris hovered into the air, confidently clapping her tiny hands. "Leave it to me!"

"Eternal Labyrinth!" A massive magic circle appeared above and below her, enveloping the entire prison. The walls began to pulse and shift as if alive, expanding into a sprawling, ever-changing maze.

Roger's face shifted rapidly from surprise to full-blown shock. His Observation Haki was completely disabled! The labyrinth had nullified all forms of sensing—even his advanced Haki. That meant no one else would be able to detect this place either. They could be lost in here forever.

With the prison transformed, Rimuru stepped forward and sliced through the chains linking Roger to the walls with a single sword stroke.

"Incredible swordsmanship," Roger complimented, impressed.

"Thanks for the praise," Rimuru replied with a smile. "Now then—time for your treatment."

"Mhm," Roger nodded, watching Rimuru get to work.

Rimuru checked his condition and frowned. "It's worse than I thought. But nothing I can't fix. Just need to swap out a few organs. Let's see... the heart, the lungs, the kidneys… Actually, screw it, I'll just replace everything except your brain."

Roger looked horrified. Was this really treatment? It sounded more like Rimuru was trying to kill him early just to beat the executioner to it.

Meanwhile outside…

Milim stood triumphantly atop a defeated Vice Admiral's massive body, surrounded by encircling marines. She looked around arrogantly.

"Really? This is all you've got? Not even enough for a warm-up!"

Suddenly, a massive figure crashed down from the sky. The word Justice fluttered on the cape behind him—he was none other than the current Fleet Admiral, Kong.

"Do you have any idea what you're doing?" Kong asked grimly. To attack now was to challenge the entire World Government—an unforgivable crime.

"Hmph. And who the hell are you supposed to be?" Milim scoffed.

"Admiral!" someone with a wild afro came running up, panicked. "The prison's been compromised!"

"What?!" Kong's face twisted with fury. "Sengoku! Take your men and get to Roger! If he resists, kill him on the spot!"

"Yes, sir!" Sengoku immediately led several officers toward the prison.

Kong turned back to Milim, his eyes blazing with murderous intent. "So it was you!"

"Damn right it was!" Milim grinned. "And what are you gonna do about it?"

"Take her down!" Kong ordered.

But before anyone could act, Milim's tiny fist slammed into Kong's chest like a meteor. His massive body was sent flying, smashing through dozens of buildings. When the dust cleared, Milim stood where Kong had been, completely unscathed.

"She's so fast!" The surrounding marines went pale. Even those who had begun charging at her froze mid-step.

Garp narrowed his eyes. He had only caught the barest glimpse of her movement. This girl is ridiculously strong…

"Damn it—!"

Kong burst out of the rubble, fists coated in Armament Haki. He threw a full-power punch at Milim.

She met it head-on with her own fist.

The resulting shockwave sent shockwaves through the area. Officers below the rank of Vice Admiral were knocked to the ground instantly. Regular soldiers were flung into the air like leaves in a storm.

Then came the most terrifying sight of all.

Steel-boned Kong flew backward once again. One of his arms was nearly shattered—barely hanging on by a thread.

Milim? Still completely uninjured.

The watching admirals gulped nervously.

She's terrifying!

Elsewhere, Sengoku had just burst through the prison doors—only to find a long, winding path and towering, endless walls. The prison was completely gone.

Sengoku froze. So did everyone behind him.

From the outside, the building had looked less than 20 meters across. But inside… they couldn't even see the ceiling. Staring up at the impossibly massive labyrinth, they all felt the same thing—

Our brains are not ready for this.
