Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Anduin noticed that the increasing weight didn't make him feel particularly fatigued. As someone who regularly engaged in physical training, he knew this wasn't a good sign. Just like how you wouldn't feel muscle tears or exhaustion when building muscle mass if your training wasn't intense enough.

Therefore, Anduin quickly adjusted his training. Instead of solely focusing on weight, he began practicing Delayed Training—using Psychokinesis to keep objects floating for as long as possible.

This method proved effective. Initially, he would start feeling dizzy and mentally drained after just five minutes. Not daring to overexert himself before fully understanding this ability, he always stopped at that point.

However, after a day's rest, he found no lingering mental strain. Confident, he began setting aside time each evening for training. Through years of consistent effort, Anduin's endurance gradually increased.

After over a year of training, Anduin could now maintain an object afloat for nearly forty minutes.

Anduin controlled the dumbbell floating in the air, making it orbit around him like a planet around the sun. He began to vary its flight path, tracing figure-eight patterns and soaring up and down.

After some time, Anduin felt his mental fatigue growing. Knowing his training was nearing its end, he guided the dumbbell back to its place and stretched slightly. "Controlling it is getting easier and easier," he mused. "I wonder when I'll be able to fly on a sword like in those novels."

Unbeknownst to Anduin as he daydreamed, somewhere in northern England, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was dispatching owls carrying acceptance letters. One of these owls was headed toward the Erens Church Welfare Home in London.

The next morning at 6:00 AM, when the orphanage was still mostly quiet, Anduin opened his window, took a deep breath, changed his clothes, and strolled leisurely into the courtyard. After a few stretches, he began practicing Long Arm Boxing.

"Hah..." Anduin exhaled contentedly, a fine sheen of sweat covering his body. As he stretched, he walked toward the dining hall, following his usual routine.

"Good morning, Sister Beatrice! I could smell this pumpkin porridge from way over there," Anduin greeted the nun preparing breakfast with a smile.

"Good morning, Anduin. Back from your morning exercise already? You're always up so early. If the other children were half as well-behaved as you, I'd have much less to worry about," Sister Beatrice replied, handing him a bowl of porridge with a chuckle.

Anduin accepted his breakfast with a grin but remained silent. He dared not respond; if his body didn't house the soul of an adult, he might be even more difficult to manage than the others.

After quickly finishing his meal and thanking Sister Beatrice, Anduin returned to his room.

As soon as he entered, he sensed something was amiss. A brown owl was perched on his desk, delivering a letter. It skillfully detached the envelope from its leg, placed it on the desk, and then flew to the windowsill, quietly observing Anduin.

Watching this scene, Anduin felt a faint sense of unease. He turned and closed the door, then strode to the desk and picked up the envelope. It bore no stamp, but a line of emerald-green ink adorned its center.

Shaftesbury Avenue, Erens Church Welfare Home, Mr. Anduin Wilson

Anduin flipped the envelope over and saw a coat of arms on the back. At its center was a large capital "H," and in each corner of the shield was depicted a lion, an eagle, a badger, and a snake.

"How could someone suddenly send me such a strange letter?" Anduin wondered as he pulled out the letter and began to read.

"Huh? Is this... the world of Harry Potter?" Anduin stared at the letter in disbelief. He had never imagined he would end up in a magical world. Even after awakening his Magic Power, he had dismissed it as mere "special abilities."

Upon realizing this astonishing truth, Anduin was immediately struck with worry. He hadn't even read the Harry Potter books in his previous life!

"But wait, something's not right," Anduin thought. Though his memories of his past life were hazy after his transmigration (or reincarnation), and he had barely seen the Harry Potter movies or read the books, he vaguely recalled a friend mentioning that the story took place after the 1990s.

Yet Anduin was currently in 1980!

He strained to recall his past life's memories, managing to remember only a few names: Dumbledore, Harry Potter, and Voldemort. He knew the basics of the magical world—people waving wands and shooting "biubiubiu" spells—but he was almost completely ignorant of the plot. Not that it mattered now; he seemed to be living in a different era from the movie's timeline!

"Well, I thought I had superpowers, but it turns out everyone around me is a superhero," Anduin muttered, utterly speechless after discovering that the "psychokinesis" he'd always believed was a superpower was actually "magic." Fortunately, with the soul of an adult, he took a few deep breaths and calmed himself.

After carefully reading the letter, Anduin stroked his chin and glanced at the owl perched on the windowsill. "You're waiting for a reply, aren't you? Too bad I've never had a pet before. I don't have anything good to offer you."

The owl continued to stare at Anduin with its lifeless, fish-like eyes.

"Alright, I'll write a reply now," Anduin shrugged and picked up the paper and quill from his desk. He began drafting a letter, expressing his sincere eagerness to attend Hogwarts but regretting his complete lack of exposure to the magical world. As an orphan, he inquired whether any assistance could be provided.
