Chapter 1 -  Chapter 1:Failed escape

Magnus was a 14-year-old boy with a little sister named Layla. He has a unique personality, he is quiet but caring and follow every demands. Magnus cherished his sister more than anyone else and will do anything to protect her.

He has a messy black hair and bright brown eyes sparkled with intelligence, but they often gazed longingly out the window, yearning for freedom. Confined to his home by his abusive parents, Magnus felt like a bird trapped in a cage, eager to spread his wings and explore the world outside.

He was skinny and full of scars from his abusive parents. One day when Magnus saw his father was beating his little sister because she accidentally spilled her juice onto her father."Father stop it was an accident she didn't mean it!" - Magnus. He tried to stop his father but failed and end up getting beat up too.

Magnus had enough and decided to escape with his little sister from their parents.

They planned their escape for weeks, packing a small bag with essentials like food, water, and clothes. He'd been sneaking bits of food into his backpack during meals, trying not to arouse suspicion. Layla his little sister, on the other hand, was a nervous wreck. She clung to Magnus's arm, her eyes wide with fear. "What if we get caught?" she whispered, her voice trembling. Magnus tried to reassure her, but he couldn't shake off the feeling of unease.Magnus hated his parents and wanted to run away with his sister.Their parents are crazy they abused both of them without any mercy. As they crept through

the darkened hallway, the silence was oppressive, punctuated only by the creaks of the old house. They reached the kitchen, and Layla's gaze fell on the knife block on the counter.

As Layla's trembling hand reached for the knife, her elbow brushed against the glass sitting precariously on the edge of the table, sending it crashing to the floor in a deafening shatter, and she stood frozen, her eyes wide with terror, as the sound seemed to echo through the silent house like a death knell, her heart racing with the dreadful certainty that they had been caught.

As the sound of footsteps thundered down the hallway, growing louder with each passing second, Magnus instinctively positioned himself in front of Layla, his heart racing with a mix of fear and desperation, his eyes fixed on the doorway as the footsteps abruptly stopped, replaced by an ominous silence that seemed to vibrate with tension, and he knew they were caught, his mind screaming with the awful certainty that their parents stood mere feet away, their anger and wrath about to unleash upon them like a tempest.
