I'm Amon. I was an orphan who died by sickness.
But my life didn't end there, as I reincarnated into another world.
No transmigration suit fit me better, as I woke up just the last day before the academy.
Well, it's good that I have the original owner's memories, but just 1 day before the academy, and I'm still at rank E.
After learning the academy's name was Apex, I learned that I had transmigrated into the popular novel in my world.
Learning that it's a peaceful world, I don't have to work hard like those transmigration novels I read.
And today was the academy entrance ceremony. We were gathering at a large field.
All the first years combined can probably be called an army, as there were too many.
And I hate crowded places, so I was kind of out of place standing out of the corner.
The chatter stopped when the headmistress came in.
I can't help but admire how beautiful the headmistress was, but, well, I didn't dwell on it too long like the others.
As the headmistress went to the center, the students went stiff as her face was pretty annoyed.
"STAND STRAIGHT." When she said that, the people gathering went straight like there's no tomorrow.
I can't help but smirk at the sudden quietness.
But that didn't last long as the headmistress glared at me.
How can she see me when I'm this far?
This world is really incredible.
…
Hours passed by because of the long speech, but the students listened carefully, as every time a student yawned, the professor tapped on a screen and called their names, saying
"Minus"
Even though we don't know what that does, we still keep quiet, knowing this is the best academy out there.
When the headmistress suddenly went back on the center
"Let's announce the current top 10 based on rank so those who aren't here, even though you should be stronger, don't sulk down, as this is only the rank for the 1st week."
When she said that a screen with names on it suddenly materialized in the center
Ranking:
1. Arthur Estella
2. Avery Kaiser
3…
...
Looking at the top 10, I can't help but admire how they can be this strong. Can I become that strong too?
Well, my gift is kind of overpowered, so I probably would be stronger than them.
As everyone kept looking
"Ok, the top 10 come up here," the headmistress said as the one whose name was on the screen began going to the center.
The first one to enter was No. 1 Arthur. His looks? Well, he has blonde hair and beautiful golden eyes. Is he handsome? Well, yeah, probably more handsome than models on Earth.
How do I know he's the number 1?
Well, he's so popular that his name was online even though I didn't read it.
So it's clear that he's the MC.
The top 10 began to appear one by one.
As 9 people gathered and we were wondering where the last one was, the headmistress announced
"Here are the top 10. Give them an applause."
So we began to clap, but I was wondering where the last one was.
"Um… Headmistress, but we're missing one," said one of the top 10.
The headmistress just looked at her and said,
"Oh, the last one missing is my younger brother, so just leave him be."
"Why?" The girl asked, wanting to know why he can't attend.
But most were shocked knowing the little brother of the headmistress was absent. Is he hurt? Or they are not on great terms?
"Well, he's grounded"said the headmistress, finally showing a laugh.
"Huh?" Everyone was flabbergasted, even Arthur.
"Hehe, he's such a problematic child, so don't worry about him," she said, grinning.
…
After the long speech and rewards for the top 10, the entrance ceremony finally finished.
But one thing was clear: the Rank 2 was clearly being embarrassed by the headmistress, and because he's her brother, no one laughed, but inside they were already calling Avery countless nicknames.
And the popular one was a femboy. I mean, his name sounded girly, so someone called him that, and because the professor and headmistress left, we were laughing nonstop.
And we can't help but think that he'll probably look girly.
While Avery, oblivious that he'd been embarrassed before the class even started, was just eating a sandwich,

I was watching TV on the couch when the door opened and my sister appeared.
"Oh, sis, welcome home," I casually greeted her while watching the TV.
"Ugghh, can't you greet me with a hug?" she said, pouting.
"Come on, I'm already old," I said, stating the most obvious thing.
"Fine, but I'm glad you didn't run away," she said, like she didn't put a spell that would sense if I went out and the guard watching outside the house. Did she really think I didn't sense them?
…
"Oh, sis, I made dinner; just reheat it," I said as I already had dinner.
"Wait, you didn't wait for me?" she said, looking at me like I committed a crime.
"Come on, I was hungry, ok?"
"But you could still wait for me."
"Ok, ok, I'm sorry," I said while looking at her teary face, so far compared to her cold face at the academy.
…
I went to my room after some casual chatting with my sister. Well, it was a good time.
I went to my bed as I had already showered earlier.
So I'm sitting, wanting to see my stats.
