Emmiel
After Lopen had exited my room, I climbed down from the bed, reaching out for my phone as I punched in the number Alpha Asai had whispered into my ears.
Since Asai had left, I kept on going over the number in my head but along the way, it had gotten mixed up.
"I hope this is the correct number" I muttered, hitting the green button. After the second ring, the person at the other end picked up the call.
I didn't want to speak up first incase I'd gotten the number wrong.
"Emmiel. It's you, right?" The receiver inquires.
That familiar voice assured me that it was indeed Asai on the other end.
"I wasn't sure you'd call. I thought Lopen might have found one way or the other that I'd whispered my number to you and lock you up or something but you'd managed to keep it a secret from him" Asai chuckled. "I must commend you"
"Why did you give me your number?"
"Isn't it, obvious?" He paused. "I want to help you escape Lopen's mansion. Don't you want that too?"
I furrowed my brow, confused. Something didn't feel right. "What's in it for you?"
"Nothing. Must there be a catch?"
"I appreciate your offer, Alpha Asai but I'd like to politely turn it down" I say. "I don't intend to leave Alpha Lopen's side until he no longer has any use of me"
"I see. It was a pointless gesture to worry about you and I might have overstepped my boundaries" Asai says. "I'll do well to not meddle in your affairs again"
Taking up Alpha Asai's offer at this point was too risky. Not only because it was too early but because there were brothers.
Alpha Asai might just be using me as a mean to spite Lopen for all I know. "It's fine. I understand where you're coming from. I should he thanking you for taking me into consideration"
"It's fine. I'm just trying to look out for both you and my brother" Asai's sighs. "The fact that he's gay is a surprise to me but him going public all at once about it by getting married is a bit much"
"I know Lopen is hard headed and might just be doing all this in the spur of the moment to spite father but I think he's taking the wrong approach" Asai adds. "So don't get me wrong and think I'm trying to stop your wedding from happening at all cost. I just feel it's rushed"
Alpha Asai had a point. This whirlwind marriage was going to put me on the spotlight. Not just as Alpha Lopen's wife but as his secret lover as well.
I'd always envisioned life outside the omega facility but never did I think It'd be this eventful.
"Once more, Alpha Asai, I understand the reason for your concern. Lopen and I would be alright" I state. "I have to hang up now"
Hanging up, I saved Asai's contact on my phone with a random name to avoid suspicion.
Tomorrow, Lopen would introduce me to his business world. I wasn't ready to see what it was made of.
Feeling suffocated in my room, I strolled out to the mansion garden to take in the sight of the beautiful flowers that grew all around.
"If only it was this peaceful everytime" I muttered. I didn't miss the omega facility but i missed the life I used to have.
Hearing footsteps walking through the garden, I turned around to find Lopen behind me.
"I thought I'd told you to get some rest" He says with a rough voice.
The tone of his voice was enough to make my hands tremble. "I.." My voice trails off. "I couldn't sleep so I thought I could take a walk in the garden. What about you, Alpha Lopen?"
"I had alot on my mind as well"
"Is it because of the wedding?"
"No" He replied, curtly.
An akward silence loomed over us. Lopen and I had never had a proper conversation. We were either in bed or he was saying one or two things to hurt me.
"Then, I'll head back in now"
As I walked out of the garden, Lopen holds me back. "Wait"
"Y-Yes?"
With his hands strongly on my wrist, Lopen moves me around him. "Get behind me"
I do as told without questions.
A loud shouting sound was heard first before the intruders showed themselves. They were Ten in numbers.
Each of them had a weapon in their hand. While nine of them collectively attacked Lopen, the last person targeted me.
"Get away from me" I cried, backing up. It was obvious that they were Beta intruders. One whom I had no power to fight against.
Alpha Lopen was too preoccupied fighting the people whom had ambushed him to take notice of me. I was left all alone.
Adrenaline rush kicks in as I make a run for it inside the mansion but the person who had been targeting me caught me.
"No, let me go!" I screamed, effortlessly, trying to break free from my captor's grip but it was to no avail. "Alpha Lopen, help me!"
It was then, Alpha Lopen searched out for me. "Emmiel!"
Whisking me over his shoulder, my captor was just about to escape when a sword was aimed at his neck.
"Let him go" A gaunt voice commands. Instantly, I'm dropped to my feet as the sword cuts through my captor's neck.
Blood gushes out from his mouth as he crashes to the ground. The nine intruders whom had ambushed Lopen had been taken care of by him.
I turned to face my saviour. He was a new face. One I'd never seen before since I came into the Lopen's mansion.
He was dressed in all black and had really long, black hair. The side of his face had a scar. One that screamed it was as a result of numerous wars. Who is this man?
"I see you finally completed the task I assigned you with" Alpha Lopen says to my saviour with a wide smile across his lips. "What a way to make an entrance Beta Davin"
It was the first time I'd ever seen Lopen smile of his own accord.
Beta Davin bows his head before Lopen. "Forgive me for coming late, Alpha"
