Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: The Queen’s Chains – Tortured Choices

The cold stone beneath Selina's knees felt like ice biting into her flesh. Her wrists, chafed raw from the heavy restraints, trembled as she struggled to stay conscious.

Adrian's voice echoed through the hidden chamber, smooth and venomous.

"Is this how you imagined it would end, dear sister?"

Selina lifted her head, her eyes blazing through the pain.

"You think this will break me?" Her voice was hoarse but defiant. "Try harder."

Adrian crouched before her, his smirk dripping with cruelty.

"Oh, I will. But why waste effort when I've already found your weakness?"

A large monitor lit up on the wall behind him. The screen flickered… then displayed a grainy live feed.

Selina's heart stopped.

Her son.

He was sitting alone in a small, windowless room, clutching the stuffed bear Damian had given him. His tiny hands trembled, and his tear-streaked cheeks glowed under the harsh lights.

Selina felt her entire world crumble.

"Don't you dare hurt him, Adrian!"

Adrian stood and turned away, his voice ice-cold.

"Then sign the documents. Publicly hand over all your remaining shares. Admit to the media that you orchestrated Damian's death… or watch me slowly destroy the only family you have left."

Selina shook her head, her body wracked with silent sobs.

"You're a monster," she whispered.

Adrian turned back, smiling darkly.

"No, sister. I'm just playing the game better than you."

Meanwhile – Damian's Hidden Operations Base

Damian's fist slammed into the reinforced glass table, shattering it into a thousand jagged shards. His eyes were wild, his knuckles bleeding.

"Where is she?!"

One of his trusted men, face pale with fear, stammered, "We… we tracked a transmission signal to the eastern sector… but the feed cut off before we could pinpoint the exact location."

Damian's jaw clenched so hard it hurt.

He could still feel Selina's presence—like a part of his soul had been ripped away and was screaming for him to find her.

Without hesitation, he barked orders.

"Prepare the convoy. I'm bringing her home. And if Adrian stands in my way—"

He pulled a loaded weapon from the drawer and checked the rounds.

"—I'll end this with blood."

Back in the Prison Chamber

Selina sat motionless as Adrian placed a golden fountain pen before her.

"One signature, and this all ends."

She looked at the pen, then at the monitor showing her terrified son.

Her hands trembled.

Signing would mean giving up everything. Her power. Her dignity. Her entire life's fight.

But if she didn't…

A fresh wave of tears clouded her vision.

"Mama…" her son whimpered through the monitor.

Selina's heart broke completely.

Her trembling hand reached for the pen—

Just as the chamber doors slammed open with a deafening crash.

Damian stood there, covered in blood and dust, his eyes blazing with murderous fury.

"Step away from her, Adrian. Or this ends here."

Adrian laughed darkly, pulling a gun from his holster and pressing it against the monitor's control panel.

"One more step, Damian… and you'll never see your son again."

The air in the room turned electric with tension.

Selina's voice cracked through the chaos.

"Don't, Damian… Please… don't risk yourself. Not for me."

But Damian's eyes never left Adrian.

"I'm not here to negotiate. I'm here to end this."

Fade to black.
