Chapter 92 - Chapter 92: Touka

As soon as they entered the café, Shinobu and Nezuko's outstanding appearances attracted the attention of many customers.

Nezuko was okay, because in her eyes, most of the time, there was only Jotaro, she rarely paid attention to others.

But those pairs of unblinking eyes made Shinobu feel a chill of disgust. In those eyes, aside from lust for the opposite sex, there seemed to be other hidden meanings as well.

After eliminating demons, she had completely opened up her heart. She no longer pretended to be gentle.

Annoyed, she glared at those people and, blushing, pressed herself close to Jotaro's side.

She now felt lacking in confidence, because being stared at like that, she felt that wearing something a bit revealing was her own fault too. 'Tomorrow, I should go buy some clothes myself…'

"Please come this way," a woman dressed as a waitress walked over and said somewhat shyly.

She had short blue hair that covered one eye, and looked a little introverted.

Under her guidance, Jotaro and the others arrived at the innermost seating area.

"Excuse me… would you like to order something?"

She glanced at Jotaro and thought to herself, 'So tall. Judging from the outfit, he looks like a student. But… which school's uniform is that?'

"Do you have a menu?" Jotaro asked flatly.

"Just a moment." Upon hearing this, she quickly ran to the counter and brought over the menu.

Just as she was about to hand it over, Jotaro said, "I'll have an iced Americano."

Her hand, which was about to pass over the menu, paused, the corner of her mouth twitched slightly. Though her face showed nothing, her heart was already becoming irritated.

What does that mean? Are you messing with me?

Jotaro said to Shinobu, "I've ordered. Although it's all coffee, the tastes are different. Since you two haven't had coffee before, just order what you like."

Only then did the waitress realize that he was being considerate to the ladies.

But these days, who would believe someone's never had coffee?

Shinobu took the menu. The dazzling variety of items made her eyes spin, just the coffee section alone had dozens of options.

Completely clueless about it, Shinobu asked Jotaro about the characteristics of each type of coffee.

Under Jotaro's explanation, she chose a sea-salt coffee.

The waitress was already stunned, Shinobu's behavior really seemed like she had never seen coffee before.

You have to know, coffee shops were all over the streets of Tokyo. 'Just where was this girl from? Even someone from the countryside wouldn't be like this, right?'

Weird as it was, after the group finished ordering, she swiftly jotted it down on paper.

At that moment, a middle-aged man with a lecherous appearance walked over and grinned, "Young man, you're quite lucky with women. Where'd you find such high-class goods?"

Jotaro's face darkened, "Get lost."

The middle-aged man wasn't afraid at all. He leaned in, hooked one arm around Jotaro's shoulder, and bluntly said, "Tell me, how much? Are you willing to give them to me? Students should act like students. Getting involved with beauties too early won't do you any good."

The waitress frowned and silently cursed, 'Idiot!'

This middle-aged man was a ghoul who had just arrived in the 20th Ward. Clearly, he hadn't figured out the rules here yet.

Anteiku, on the surface, was just a normal café, but in reality, it was a support center run by ghouls.

They were committed to helping weak ghouls, or helping ghouls integrate more naturally into human society.

Most of the customers here were ghouls, of course, there were also clueless humans who would come to spend money.

These human guests could very likely be targeted by the ghouls in the shop. However, even if they were targeted, ghouls did not dare to act inside the shop.

To so openly harass customers inside the shop, this guy was really bold.

The waitress hurried to intervene, planning to teach this outsider a harsh lesson afterward, so he'd learn the rules here.

"Sir, please don't disturb other cus—"

Before she finished speaking, Jotaro's hand was already on top of the middle-aged man's head. He grabbed it and pressed down hard.

The man's body lost balance in an instant, and his head slammed heavily onto the table. The table couldn't withstand the force and shattered immediately.

The commotion startled the other customers.

"Yare yare… just because I look like a student, don't underestimate me!"

Jotaro's face was icy, arms crossed. He kicked the middle-aged man in the stomach.

"Trying to act tough in front of me, you idiot!"

With people like this, he usually hit them hard, and this just happened to be a weak ghoul, probably just barely at D-rank. This type of ghoul couldn't even use their kagune.

Jotaro's physique, far beyond that of ordinary humans, could completely crush the opponent with ease.

After a few kicks, the middle-aged man was vomiting blood and about to faint.

"Sir, please stop. Let us handle him."

At some point, a kindly-looking old man had walked over to Jotaro's side and stopped him from beating the man.

The strength transmitted through the old man's arm made Jotaro slightly surprised. He shook off the man's hand and put his own hands in his pockets.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Yoshimura Kuzen. I'm the manager of this café."

He had just been preparing ingredients in the back. When he returned, he saw the middle-aged man harassing Jotaro's group.

Although Jotaro's way of handling it was a bit rough, it wasn't his fault. Yoshimura intended to act as a peacemaker and settle the matter.

If he kept beating the guy, the ghoul might die, which could cause unnecessary trouble.

Jotaro said nothing, which was considered silent agreement. His cold gaze swept across the room. All those who had been watching immediately averted their eyes.

The ghouls who hung around Anteiku usually weren't strong, many didn't even have the ability to hunt.

To beat a D-rank ghoul to a pulp with no resistance, someone like Jotaro was the type they dared not provoke.

"Don't just stand there. Go prepare the coffee." Jotaro said calmly, as if the one who had just beaten someone up wasn't him.

"Touka-chan, hurry up."

Seeing the waitress still standing there dazed, Yoshimura reminded her.

"Oh."

Just as she was about to leave, Nezuko suddenly blocked her path.

Looking at the girl with a warm smile on her face, Touka froze for a moment, awkwardly averting her gaze.

"What is it?"

Nezuko, with her bright, shining eyes, didn't speak. She handed over the pen Touka had dropped earlier.

"…"

It was the pen she had dropped in a daze when Jotaro was beating the man earlier.

"Thank you…"

Nezuko still didn't say anything. Her eyes curved, smiling even more.

Looking at Nezuko's rosy little face, being stared at like that, Touka shyly ran off.

"What a bunch of weirdos…"

After finishing their coffee, Jotaro paid the bill and left Anteiku.

As soon as he walked out, the remaining customers began talking.

They were all ghouls, and now that no human guests were around, they didn't need to restrain their nature.

"Who was that guy? Picking a fight at the drop of a hat, more violent than us ghouls."

"Those two girls by his side suit my taste. I'd like to have a taste sometime!"

Hearing their gossip, Touka frowned and said, "You guys better cut those thoughts out. That woman from earlier has already made a mess of the 20th Ward."

"CCG might send more personnel. You'd best not cause more trouble."

"Otherwise..." A fierce light flashed in her eyes. The shy look from earlier was completely gone, she now looked like a fierce boss lady.

"I'll beat you all up like that guy earlier!"

Everyone shivered and didn't dare have any more improper thoughts.
