Status: Alive. Barely. Mentally fried. Spiritually recharging via cartoons.
Location: Grandma Helen's house. Ground zero of chaos: the living room.
"Hello, my name is Tyler Foster. Yes, that Tyler the 'savior of the world,' the 'boy with the forbidden seal,' the 'master of Omnikinesis'…"
I paused, dramatically draping a blanket over my shoulder like a cape.
"…and also currently lying on the couch watching The Spectacular Spider-Man with my eleven-year-old brother while covered in nacho crumbs."
Leo looked up from the floor, where he was cross-legged in front of the TV, eyes wide behind his cracked red goggles. "Don't break character, brother," he said with total seriousness, voice pitched like an anime dub.
"The darkness senses weakness."
I nodded solemnly, gripping the TV remote like it was the hilt of an ancient blade.
