Chapter 1: Under the Rain, With a Stranger
The rain poured like the sky was angry at me.
And maybe it was.
Because when I turned the corner, holding my small bag of bread and milk, I slammed straight into him.
My things fell to the ground.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" I said quickly.
He didn't even look at me properly.
"Just watch where you're going next time," he snapped.
I blinked. Excuse me?
"I said sorry. You bumped into me, and you should be happy I'm even apologizing!" I fired back.
He rolled his eyes. "Maybe you should open your eyes next time."
I clenched my fists. "I do have eyes. You clearly don't use yours!"
"You're so rude."
"I'm only rude to people who act like they're the king of the streets," I muttered and turned away.
"YOU!" He shouted behind me.
I ignored him.
