Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 – The Three Haki Types, Rokushiki, and Life Return

"This room okay? Or should I prepare two separate ones for you?"

Hancock led Uchiha Genkei and Chiri into a spacious, finely furnished cabin and turned to ask.

"This is perfect. One room is enough."

Chiri gave the room a quick glance and nodded approvingly. Then she asked, "By the way, how long until we reach the Sabaody Archipelago from here?"

"Hmm…"

Hancock paused to think. "Another day or two, probably. Why? Is something wrong?"

Her tone was warm. She'd taken a genuine liking to both Genkei and Chiri.

After all, if not for them, she and her sisters might've been sold into slavery by now.

"No, nothing wrong. Just curious." Chiri waved her hand. "You should get back. Your crew still needs your help. We can talk more once you're free."

"Alright! Thanks again!" Hancock gave them a grateful smile. "I'll bring some food by later!"

With that, she turned and hurried off.

Once the door closed behind them, Chiri turned to Genkei and asked, "So, you clearly knew who Hancock was—and about this pirate crew?"

"Tell me what you know."

"Sure."

Genkei nodded and began relaying everything he knew about Amazon Lily, the Boa sisters, and the powers they possessed.

"I see…"

Chiri looked impressed. "An all-female warrior tribe, most of whom have mastered Armament Haki… and some who wield Observation Haki too?"

"A society with dual-Haki inheritance. Impressive."

"It actually reminds me of Nadeshiko Village back in the shinobi world—also made up entirely of women."

Genkei chuckled at the mention of Nadeshiko.

Didn't Jiraiya have a rather messy history with that place? Poor Naruto got caught up in it, too, didn't he…

"What do you think?" Chiri asked, "Should we request training methods for Observation and Armament Haki as a reward?"

She was curious about this world's power systems—and eager to study them firsthand.

Based on what Genkei had told her and what she'd seen during battle, both types of Haki held tremendous value.

"Better not."

Genkei shook his head.

"That kind of request touches on Amazon Lily's cultural inheritance. It's too personal. They might see it as a threat and shut us out—or worse."

"Besides, they're heading to meet their former captain—Shakuyaku. She's not only a master of both Observation and Armament Haki, but also a former empress of the island."

"She's got deep intel networks… and her partner is none other than Silvers Rayleigh, the right-hand man of the former Pirate King."

Chiri raised an eyebrow.

Genkei continued, "Rayleigh is a master of all three Haki types—Observation, Armament, and Conqueror's."

"In our world's terms, he's stronger than a Kage. Probably on par with legends like Hashirama or Uchiha Madara, or at least not far behind."

"So instead of asking the Boa sisters for their clan secrets, we can request generalized Haki training insights from Rayleigh or Shakuyaku."

"Even better—let's aim for the full Rokushiki training system and Life Return."

"Those techniques would help us more in the long run, and we'd avoid stepping on cultural landmines."

"…I see."

Chiri blinked, processing the names. "A fighter on Madara's level? If he's really that strong, his training notes might be even more valuable."

"Do you really think they'll agree?"

She glanced thoughtfully at her son.

"I'm sure of it," Genkei said with confidence. "Shakuyaku and Rayleigh aren't the petty type. They know how to repay favors."

"And if needed, I've got a secret piece of intel they definitely won't refuse."

"No matter what—Haki insights, Rokushiki, Life Return—I'm getting them."

He clenched his fist.

This kind of opportunity might not come twice.

"…Alright," Chiri said at last. "If you're that confident, we'll go with your plan."

"Though I am curious—what exactly are Rokushiki and Life Return? You've been talking about them nonstop. Are they really that valuable?"

"They are," Genkei nodded.

"They're physical techniques developed by the World Government—superhuman martial arts that push the body beyond natural limits."

"In fact, Rokushiki forms the physical foundation for learning both Armament and Observation Haki."

"If you've mastered Rokushiki, unlocking dual Haki is only a matter of time."

"But the real treasure," he said, eyes lighting up, "is Life Return."

"It's a rare, advanced technique that only a few top-level agents ever master."

"It allows total control over your body—down to every cell."

"You can convert excess body mass into energy, heighten digestion, and accelerate physical recovery. It's possibly even capable of restoring damaged life force."

"Even a partial mastery might massively accelerate our recovery."

Chiri listened intently.

After Genkei explained the principles in detail, she finally nodded.

"So it's a form of cellular-level physical mastery?"

"Enhanced digestion, faster healing, and total control over blood and muscle?"

"In other words, incredible for chakra recovery as well."

"Exactly," Genkei said. "That's why I'm obsessed with learning it."

"Even in the One Piece world, it's rare. As far as I know, only a handful of geniuses have managed it. Like Rob Lucci from CP9."

"But if we get the training methods, we'll have a shot."

"Hard doesn't mean impossible," Chiri replied confidently.

"If it's trainable, I'll learn it."

She smiled.

"After all, I'm a genius too."

Genkei chuckled. "That you are."

"By the way, I'm sure you've noticed—people in this world are absurdly tough."

"Far tougher than the average shinobi."

"I have."

Chiri nodded thoughtfully.

"I've been sensing enormous creatures beneath the waves. This ocean is full of life. The deeper we go, the stronger they seem."

"It must be the environment."

"Even the humans here may have different biological baselines."

"Exactly," Genkei said. "This ocean holds Sea Kings—creatures hundreds, even thousands of meters long."

"And on land? Dozens of species that grow fifty meters or more."

"So I was thinking—if we hunt Sea Kings and other giant beasts for meat, we can use that to boost our recovery."

"Combine it with our Life-Nurturing Arts and physical training, and it might supercharge our healing. Maybe even restore life force."

"What do you think?"
