"Who are you, and how did you get in?!"
Such an important meeting naturally had many guards; entry was forbidden once it began, even for Gods.
The boy who'd burst in was unfamiliar to everyone; no one recognized him. Clearly, he wasn't a God.
If not a God, then an adventurer? How did his Familia teach him to act?
As the Gods pondered this, Loki exclaimed, losing composure.
"Arthas, what are you doing?!"
"Loki, you know him?"
"Is he from your Familia?"
"This is outrageous!"
The Gods murmured; Loki waved for silence.
"Are you all idiots? He's the one you were discussing—the one who confessed to my Riveria."
"Oh?!"
The Gods showed interest; they were curious about Arthas's purpose.
"He's here to confront you for interfering in his relationship with Riveria?"
"Brave kid. I like him. Go for it!"
"Consider someone else. There are plenty of fish in the sea!"
Arthas, prepared for anger, was stunned. The Gods… were a bunch of goofballs.
Why did I bother arguing with them?
Arthas felt helpless, unsure what to say.
Loki clicked her tongue; it wasn't because the Gods were all silly. Living in the lower world had diminished their authority, but they were still Gods and would assert their power when their interests were at stake.
The Gods' reaction was purely for entertainment. It didn't affect them, and they could see the Loki Familia's leader being made a fool of—why not?
"You idiots, stop it! Shut up if you don't understand!"
Loki shouted angrily, but the Gods ignored her, continuing their merrymaking.
"Enough joking. You trespassed; you and Hestia will be punished!"
A male God said; his authoritative voice silenced the others.
"Jokes aside, let's continue. Remove him; let's proceed to the naming ceremony."
Another God said, but no one moved.
They were all Gods; in the mortal realm, they were just people; no one would remove Arthas.
The guards outside were silent, likely dealt with by Arthas.
"Why be so heartless? The subject of your discussion is here! Let's hear what he has to say! It might be enlightening."
"This is the first adventurer brave enough to confront the Gods. Let's make an exception, shall we?"
With a sweet fragrance, Freya appeared behind Arthas, her arms around him, her chest pressed against his back.
Freya's beauty captivated everyone.
Loki frowned, her expression shifting.
Freya… does she like Arthas?
"Freya's right. Let's give this brave boy a chance. Speak your mind. If you're declaring war on the Loki Familia for love, we'll all witness it!"
A male God said seriously; the word "war" stunned everyone.
"Declare war on the Loki Familia?"
"A war game… this is going to be fun."
"How long has it been since the Loki Familia faced a war game? Or lost one?"
"Declare war! We'll witness it!"
The Gods urged Arthas; Loki glared at him.
Kid, don't be stupid.
"No… I won't declare war on the Loki Familia. I won't force Riveria to leave. I'm here to have the Gods abolish the rule against inter-Familia marriage!"
Arthas smiled; the hall fell silent; even Freya was stunned by his bold declaration.
Abolish the rule against inter-Familia marriage?!
This rule, if abolished, would cause chaos.
Children aside, what Familia would married adventurers belong to?
Would married couples from different Familias have to leave their Familias?
Inter-Familia marriage would cause problems; prohibiting it was the best solution.
