Chapter 51 - 51: Rare Special Equipment

Facing Shen Mo's offer, Tsunade just looked at Kakashi.

She was broke.

"Open them!" Kakashi nodded firmly. Seeing Tsunade's job-change success, he felt a mix of excitement and nerves.

Could he revive Rin… and Obito?

"Got it!" Tsunade knew Kakashi wouldn't rest without trying. She vowed again, "The first revival goes to you, Kakashi."

Truth be told, Tsunade still craved revival, but not with her old desperation. Her heart now held hope.

She believed…

By honing her Holy Light, reviving Nawaki was inevitable.

"Then, ten Paladin-exclusive cans," Shen Mo said, looking at Kakashi. "Pay with jutsu memories and experience, as usual?"

"Yes!" Kakashi confirmed.

"Deal sealed."

Shen Mo waved, and Kakashi felt a chunk of his jutsu memories vanish.

Ten Level 3 cans—fifty million.

Three hundred thousand Trade Points.

The cans before them were clearly different.

"Pure white cans?" Sasuke eyed the larger Level 3 cans eagerly. "These are Paladin Series cans—how're they different from regular ones?"

He voiced what many wondered.

Tsunade looked at Shen Mo too.

Revival odds were higher, sure, but there's more, right?

"They're right here—open them and find out," Shen Mo said, smiling, dodging.

"Let's do it," Tsunade said, stretching her arms, brimming with anticipation.

Before opening, she pressed her hands to her chest, murmuring, "May Holy Light bless me."

She now knew Holy Light was hope crystallized—a subconscious act, her wish.

Shen Mo's heart sank.

No way that works.

Sure enough, Tsunade's first can was the worst.

First one—one million.

Staring at the crisp stack of cash, not just Tsunade, but everyone felt like screaming.

"Why's there money in Level 3 cans?!" Tsunade's fists pulsed with veins, itching to pound someone.

"Nothing's worse than this," Shen Mo said, helpless.

Big prizes mean duds too. He'd slipped in a Basic Revival Token but also this million for thrill.

Who'd guess Tsunade'd hit it first?

"Next one…" Kakashi's voice quivered.

Unfazed by deadly foes, he was now a nervous wreck.

To keep his combat strength…

His remaining jutsu memories could buy, at most, two more Level 3 sets.

No revival…?

The thought alone felt like his heart was in a vise.

"Next!" Tsunade tensed too. Spending Kakashi's fortune without a revival? She'd feel awful.

Second can opened.

Not money, thankfully—a light orb.

But its color was different.

A cyan orb.

"Explain," Tsunade said, looking at Shen Mo.

"Strength Point Orb," Shen Mo said. "Paladins are fighters. These stat orbs are common—Strength, Speed, Endurance, Spirit, each a different color, boosting different attributes. They're standard, so it's break-even."

Tsunade pondered.

Level 3 cans' boosts shouldn't be weak.

By can logic, at least ten times stronger than Level 2 boosts.

So…

"Also, each orb slightly amps Holy Light strength, so only you can use them," Shen Mo added, seeing her thoughts.

No monster-killing leveling here—these orbs were the only pseudo-upgrade path.

Common, but practical.

Pricey cans need this balance. One or two duds like that fifth-of-value cash add tension, but too many? No way.

As expected, Tsunade was bummed it couldn't boost others, but thrilled it strengthened Holy Light, she used it happily.

Second, third… all orbs.

On the fifth…

Something different.

A flash of white light.

A massive cross, etched with intricate patterns and glowing faintly, appeared.

Bigger than the can's size.

The shorter arm was thicker, with a grip slot at the long arm's base.

A cross-shaped weapon.

"Its name's Divine Blessing!" Shen Mo said, congratulatory. "Top-notch Paladin gear. Adds eighty Strength, thirty Stamina, plus a Judgment skill—burn Holy Light to panic an enemy briefly."

Perfect for a brawler Paladin.

Shen Mo had prepped this.

Eighty thousand Trade Points—cheapest green gear, but still green.

"Paladin weapon?" Tsunade grabbed the slot, eyes lighting up. "Strength's up! Smash like a hammer? Let's try."

She inhaled, gave a sharp cry, and swung the cross—nearly her height—with a dull whoosh, slamming it down.

Boom—!

The ground shook, dirt sprayed ten meters high, a two-to-three-meter-deep crater formed.

Sasuke and crew gasped.

What monstrous strength.

It reshaped terrain. On a person? No scream—just meat paste.

This partly came from prior Strength Orbs.

Those were sixty-thousand-point boosts.

"Awesome weapon!" Tsunade beamed, swinging it more, whipping up gusts. "Feels perfect. Am I a hammer gal?"

"Lady Tsunade's so strong…" Sakura's eyes sparkled.

That raw power, bold stance—insanely cool.

"Bit big," Tsunade said, pleased. She pulled a rope, tying the giant cross to her back.

Just the fifth Level 3 can, and a rare special gear.

Sasuke and others felt it—Level 3 exclusive cans were different.

So… tempting.
