Chapter 101 - Chapter 101

Kurohane scratched his head, a little unable to keep up with this timeline. He had only been in the 2023 timeline for three days, and most of that time was spent traveling. In reality, he had only fought for half a day, but it felt like a year had passed.

After a moment of thought, Kurohane finally caught up to the narrative. The 2012 Battle of New York was over, the only difference being that Kurohane had played around a bit too much. The actual alien invasion was changed into a mythological event about the descent of an Angel by Kurohane.

Compared to Thor, the Asgardian, in the eyes of people in the Western world, Angels represented religious orthodoxy. After all, no one was going to pray to Odin and Thor about their sins, were they? The result was that the Vatican printed "ancient texts" overnight to prove Kurohane's legitimate Angel identity. Believers voluntarily gathered at the doorstep of the ruler's house, demanding the Angel's arrival to deliver divine revelations. They only needed him to explain the alien invasion, as long as they could see the Angel's face.

The identities of the original Avengers were exposed, but they were actually in a state of confusion. A good comrade suddenly turned into an Angel and displayed terrifying combat power during the Battle of New York. But when they dragged Nick Fury out of the Sky Carrier, Nick Fury said he didn't know anything. If you asked him about the alien invasion, that was fine, but Kurohane? He was speechless!

"I have a suit, but it's a S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform," Kurohane responded casually when Tony asked about his attire for the press conference.

"Then don't worry, I've already had Pepper prepare one for you, take a look!"

Pepper appeared holding a white suit, classic in style, but Kurohane didn't like it! Because that suit was very similar to the one worn by the Devil in the movie Constantine!

"Change it to black, white suits are usually worn by Lucifer," Kurohane patted Tony's shoulder, then gave Pepper an apologetic look.

Tony stared at Kurohane with a surprised expression, not expecting Kurohane's casual remark to be such a shockingly deep secret! "You know Lucifer? The legendary Lord of Hell?!"

"I've seen him before, he's a slightly bald, middle-aged fat uncle, but his power is definitely second to none."

"Otherwise, the branch company of Hell wouldn't let him be the big boss."

Tony: (a bewildered expression). No, is this something I'm supposed to hear? Heaven and Hell are run by the same boss?!

However, Pepper didn't take Kurohane's words to heart at all; her feminine intuition told her that Kurohane was joking. It was just that since he said it with his Angel identity, it seemed incredibly credible. After all, as the only Angel to appear in the world, anything Kurohane said was true.

After recovering from his shock, Tony began contacting all the Avengers, stating that everyone must attend the press conference later. This press conference was unofficial, and how they, the Avengers, would live in this world from now on, depended on how effective this press conference was!

Kurohane then called his Hydra leader, Minister Alexander, who said that Hydra also needed a living Angel to be their leader, and whether they could be whitewashed depended on Kurohane. He would also be present at the press conference then, and Kurohane must remember to act according to his cues!

Kurohane: (an amused expression mixed with mischievous plotting). If you put it that way, I'm definitely going to make a huge scene for you guys!

That night, the press conference spearheaded by Tony was held in the first-floor lobby of Stark Tower. Cameras of all types were everywhere, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, along with a large number of FBI and CIA personnel, maintained order at the scene. Reporters from hundreds of countries, holding recording pens and notebooks, waited anxiously. They all looked forward to this newly formed superhero team, especially an Angel who threw nuclear bombs bare-handed!

But the only person present at the press conference then was Tony. As the host, he felt there were some things he needed to tell these reporters beforehand. Dr. Banner could transform at any moment, and Kurohane couldn't tolerate sand in his eyes. If they weren't careful, the press conference could turn into a crime scene!

"Hello, fellow reporters, before the official press conference begins, there are a few things I need to tell everyone."

"Not every Avenger likes you as much as I do, so please remember the following rules."

As soon as Tony spoke, the tense atmosphere in the venue eased, and everyone burst into relieved laughter.

"First, our 'Angel of Justice' won't tolerate sand in his eyes, if one of you is sent sprawling to the ground by him,"

"Then, you must have truly committed a criminal offense, please don't panic, fellow reporters, it's a very natural occurrence."

As soon as Tony stated the first point, the atmosphere fell silent. Everyone was an old hand in the news industry, who hadn't done something illegal? Things like candid photography and eavesdropping were common; if they were truly judged by the "Angel" later, that would be a huge problem!

"However, I've already discussed it with him, as long as you don't do bad things in front of him,"

"He guarantees he won't do anything during the press conference, as for what he'll do to you after the press conference ends, I don't know."

Tony especially loved observing the expressions on these reporters' faces; previously, he was always vexed by their questions. Now, with just one sentence, he could make those reporters speechless, this was too interesting!

After that, Tony listed three warnings, nine prohibitions, and twenty points of attention. Including but not limited to no flash photography, no whispering, no calling, and no asking random questions.

After rendering the entire venue dead silent, the Avengers finally entered the venue. Sitting at the center of the table was Steve, with Kurohane and Tony sitting on his left and right sides. Thor had alien diplomatic status, and as a reckless individual, everyone unanimously agreed that he should speak less. So he sat next to Kurohane, while the two main agents plus Banner sat to Tony's right.

Shutter sounds went off in unison, but no one dared to turn on their flash!

"You may ask your questions now." Tony uttered the first sentence with a smile, and the reporters below the stage all raised their hands.

Kurohane smiled and pointed his finger at the person who raised their hand the fastest, and found that it was a familiar face. She was the female reporter who had once slept with Tony before he flew to the Middle East, and also the female reporter who was closest to him when Tony admitted he was Iron Man.

The female reporter stood up with a "swoosh," her face flushed, and she couldn't utter a word for a long time. As the first person in the history of journalism to interview an Angel, it would be wrong to say she wasn't nervous!

"No need to be so nervous, I'm not the devil, after all." Kurohane smiled and condensed a pure white feather in mid-air, then gently flicked it towards this female reporter. Under the influence of Holy Energy, the female reporter immediately regained her composure.

After taking a deep breath, her two large eyes stared at Kurohane with gratitude, and she opened her mouth to ask:

"Kurohane, do you have a girlfriend?"

Kurohane: (a slightly goofy expression of surprise).
