Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Headed Straight for the Sun Moon Empire

Huo Yuhao didn't hide anything. As he walked out of the Star Dou Forest, he casually made up a story about his past and current life, and told Tianmeng Ice Silkworm everything—how he already knew the original Huo Yuhao's full storyline.

There was no need to keep secrets. From now on, their fates were completely intertwined. It was a mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship—neither could leave the other, and neither could harm the other.

After hearing Huo Yuhao's explanation, Tianmeng Ice Silkworm was utterly stunned. At the same time, it was even more determined to help cultivate Huo Yuhao.

"Unbelievable."

"With this, your future is basically unstoppable, Yuhao. You're practically a prophet now!"

Huo Yuhao smiled and nodded.

"That's right, Brother Tianmeng. I know a lot, but from here on out, our future won't be the same as the one from that world."

He explained again some of the more tragic things the original Huo Yuhao had gone through. Tianmeng shook its head repeatedly in his spiritual sea.

"You're absolutely right, Huo Yuhao. We're going to the Sun Moon Empire! I, Tianmeng Ice Silkworm, chose a child destined to become a god—there's no way we're becoming someone else's lapdog! We're not going to suffer like that! That bastard Tang San... was he even born when I was?"

Tianmeng began ranting furiously about the "Buddha Tang" in Huo Yuhao's spiritual sea. Huo Yuhao listened with great satisfaction.

"Yuhao, let me ask you something... me and Bingbing, do we end up together?"

As they walked, Tianmeng suddenly stopped cursing and asked cautiously, sounding nervous.

Huo Yuhao couldn't help but chuckle.

"Brother Tianmeng, don't you think that's something you should work on yourself? If I told you now that you two do get together, wouldn't you get cocky and end up getting on her bad side?"

"You're so right, Yuhao! Why didn't I think of that!"

Tianmeng suddenly understood, singing Huo Yuhao's praises nonstop.

Just as Huo Yuhao exited the Star Dou Forest, he bumped into two people.

One was a refined, handsome man with a gentle demeanor. The other was a graceful, slightly seductive-looking woman.

If Huo Yuhao wasn't mistaken, this had to be Beibei and Tang Ya.

He had taken a different route, and only now crossed paths with them.

Seeing a child like Huo Yuhao walking alone out of the Star Dou Forest, the two exchanged shocked glances.

Huo Yuhao had no intention of engaging. Under their curious stares, he walked straight past them without a glance.

"Wait, hey, little brother! Have you ever heard of Tang Sect?"

As the sect master of the Tang Sect, Tang Ya immediately judged this child to be a prodigy. She wanted to recruit him if possible.

Beibei sighed silently and simply watched from the side.

Aside from Huo Yuhao's ability to leave the forest alone, Tang Ya also had a strange, irrational feeling...

That if the Tang Sect didn't recruit this child, it might truly be finished.

Huo Yuhao paused. He turned his head and looked at the two coldly.

"I've heard of it. That once-glorious sect founded by the famous Tang San. What about it?"

Tang Ya brightened. This child knew about the sect's divine origins—perhaps...

"Would you like to join the Tang Sect? The great sect founded by ancestor Tang San, the number one sect on the continent! If you join, you'll never regret it!"

Huo Yuhao's brows furrowed. Without hesitation, he rejected her.

"I'm not joining. First, Tang Sect has already fallen into decline. I believe I have talent. Joining the Tang Sect would just be a burden dragging me down. Miss, I hope you understand—old things will eventually be replaced by the new. That's how it is."

"Second, the person I despise most in this world is Tang San. Farewell."

His words were like a thousand blades, piercing straight into Tang Ya's already fragile hopes of reviving the Tang Sect. Her expression froze, and she stared at Huo Yuhao's back as he walked away, her eyes filled with sorrow.

Beibei, seeing her expression, quickly pulled her into an embrace.

"What a beautiful day."

Huo Yuhao walked away in high spirits toward the homeland he had never seen—the Sun Moon Empire.

Pulling out a map, Huo Yuhao sat on a roadside boulder in the wilderness. As he chewed on a classic Yuhao meat bun, he studied the map carefully.

"We're close to the Star Luo–Sun Moon border... The problem is, the two countries have been at war for years. The border's not exactly safe."

Huo Yuhao frowned.

In his spiritual sea, Tianmeng was also studying the map.

"Yuhao, what if we follow one of the trade routes between Star Luo and Sun Moon?"

Huo Yuhao shook his head.

"Not really viable. We're not merchants. We don't have the credentials to cross the border. With the current political tensions, getting those permits would be impossible."

At that moment, Huo Yuhao suddenly thought of something—those refugees from Africa and the Middle East who crossed oceans in dire straits and were accepted by wealthy European countries as asylum seekers.

Lightbulb moment.

"I think we should just cross the Mingdou Mountains directly."

Tianmeng was baffled.

"The Mingdou Mountains are dangerous. You'll be covered in injuries before you're through. And the Sun Moon Empire has troops stationed on the other side."

Huo Yuhao gave a sly smile.

"Brother Tianmeng, do you know what political asylum means?"

"Reporting to the commander! We found someone at the base of the mountain... a badly injured child from the Star Luo Empire. He claims to be very important and wishes to meet the highest-ranking officer here!"

At that moment, in the camp at the foot of the Mingdou Mountains, the commander of the Third Soul Engineer Regiment frowned as he listened to the report.

"You've confirmed he's not a spy or assassin? No disguise, nothing like that?"

The subordinate nodded.

"Yes sir. We've confirmed he's a boy around eleven years old, with only level eleven soul power. Unless he's a disguised Rank 95 Titled Douluo, he's just a kid."

The commander thought for a moment, then looked toward a short, chubby, plain-looking man sitting inside the camp.

Never judge a book by its cover. This man was a Level Nine Soul Engineer, the dean of the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineering Academy, head of Mingde Hall—Jing Hongchen.

He was here at the border, testing a new type of high-level surveillance soul tool, while temporarily serving as a guest instructor with the Third Soul Engineer Regiment.

"Hall Master Hongchen, should we trouble you with something like this?"
