Chapter 2 - 2.You Smell So Good

Of course, Cohen was not stupid enough to tell his adoptive father that he was not a human, especially when his parents did not suspect him.

Do you know how rare it is for the protagonist to have a pair of living parents? Adoptive parents are also parents!

Edward also successfully made Cohen "understand" what the magic world is like by explaining whatever he thought of.

And Dumbledore's instructions to the couple not to reveal their identity as wizards in front of Harry Potter.

"You know, you haven't had any magical riots for so many years, so your mother and I thought you were just an ordinary child." Edward sighed, "I didn't dare to pull out the wand at home, for fear that you would..."

"So this is why you have been relying on your mother's work to support yourself?"

Cohen asked his first question seriously.

Edward, who was waiting to answer his son's questions about the magic world and trying to rebuild his father's majestic image, was stunned.

"Well... you know, the magic world has very strict rules. It's best not to use too much magic in the Muggle world - especially when seen by Muggles - I mean - wait, are you not curious about magic at all? For example, let me show you how to conjure a bouquet of flowers, let pears do tap dance, etc.?"

Edward frantically pulled out his wand from his pocket, and the whole living room was immediately in chaos with the fruits running away and the golden birds flying around. His standard wand-waving gesture and silent spell-casting skills proved that Edward was not a third-rate wizard.

  Cohen is confused.jpg

Isn't it true that the average level of a wizard's soul is only a dozen points?

In Edward's opinion, his magic seemed to have stunned Cohen.

"How about it, do you want to learn these magics?" Edward touched Cohen's hair, trying to ruffle Cohen's smooth hair.

"You will learn these in school, right?" Cohen couldn't pretend that he was very interested in these. Compared with these fancy decorative magic, he hoped to learn something more practical. "You know, I prefer reading books. Maybe you can just give me the textbooks and I will learn by myself." Although

the targeted plan of parents being Muggles was completely ruled out, it did not mean that Edward and Rose could spend these seven years safely.

The Happy Childhood Plan ended early, and now the "First Three-Year Plan to Completely Kill Voldemort and His Remnants" was launched.

In this regard, Cohen had to get more goodwill and sin points as soon as possible in the first three years of relative peace to improve his magic level and soul integrity. After all, if Cohen did not interfere, Voldemort would be resurrected in the fourth year. Of course

, Cohen would definitely not let the plot develop like this. At that time, Harry and the others as the protagonists would definitely be fine, but it would be hard to say for himself and his parents as three passers-by who should not exist at all.

I hope that Voldemort, a guy whose soul is shattered like paper in a shredder, can kill Cohen, who has a 100% soul integrity.

There is also the collection of Horcruxes. After all, Voldemort's soul fragments are also an extremely unstable factor, and Coin can eat this thing as a dessert without any mental burden.

"Of course there are textbooks. Your mother and I both have old textbooks left at home-" Edward was relieved after hearing what Coin said. Coin really likes reading books, and it is also the right choice to want to learn about magic from books. It is indeed a bit unsafe for the little wizard to practice magic right away.

After all, no little wizard would be as calm as hearing that beef would be replaced with lamb for dinner when he first came into contact with magic.

"What are you looking at? Of course we won't let you use old textbooks..."

After realizing that Coin's demeanor was gradually moving closer to Rose, Edward hurriedly explained.

Since the part of popularizing the knowledge of the magic world has ended, and Coin is particularly calm and has no questions to answer, Edward handed the letter to Coin.

"Keep the letter. I'll take you to Diagon Alley to buy wands and school supplies tomorrow - maybe you should also find some friends for your birthday party tonight?" Edward stood up with satisfaction and put the wand back into his pocket. "Dad has to prepare the ingredients and birthday cake."

"By the way, don't mention magic to your friends, especially Harry next door."

- - -

Good news, Harry and "Cohen" knew each other before Cohen came here.

Bad news, in the more than one month since Cohen came here, Harry has never been released by the Dursleys, so Cohen has no way to see what level of Voldemort fragments on Harry.

"I have to consider whether this is the only chance for me to see Voldemort fragments in July."

Cohen stood at the door of No. 4 Privet Drive, thinking about how to invite Harry out of the Dursleys in the name of a birthday party - it is likely that he will also bring Dudley, otherwise the Dursleys will think that "the Cohens are also a freak family."

Even though they were facing the Dursleys as a Muggle family, these two pure Muggles were not neighbors that people would like to associate with, especially Petunia, who often peeked at Edward's mowing lawn through the fence and spread some dark and heavy rumors in the community - although Edward's mowing lawn in the shape of a mouse was indeed a bit unsociable.

Cohen thought that this was the bad impression left on Petunia by Lily after she turned the teacups at home into mice.

"Hello, Mr. Dursley, I'm Cohen from the Norton family!"

After the door opened, Cohen pretended to be polite and bowed to Vernon Dursley who opened the door, and then watched with his own eyes that Dursley's liver-colored face turned from red to white and then from white to red.

It was obvious that the Dursleys' discussion with the Nortons had already reached the point of confirming the identity of the wizards - perhaps it had already been confirmed unilaterally. The Dursleys were like frightened birds about "magic and wizards", as if any contact with magic would destroy their family.

But Cohen's mother, Rose, was the business editor of the Times, and Dursley obviously didn't dare to openly neglect the family - otherwise his drilling company might receive some bad reviews.

  "Hmm - hum?"

Dursley's extremely complicated thoughts finally turned into a strange cry with no clear meaning.

"Today is my birthday. I want to invite a few friends here to come to my house. My father has prepared a sumptuous dinner." Cohen took it as if Mr. Dursley agreed to continue.

"Dally can go. I heard that you are also going to Smelting Middle School. As future classmates, we really need to deepen our relationship--" Mr. Dursley was relieved when he heard that it was an invitation to a birthday party and agreed at once. But suddenly, his brain, which was not very active at home, thought of something, "Wait, you said 'several friends' here?"

Harry could not be considered a child of the Dursley family.

"I remember there is a child named Harry here. Why not let him come to the party?" Cohen asked.

"We don't have a child named Harry here!" Mr. Dursley said angrily, "He moved away!"

"But I have seen him. He is not abused, is he? My mother likes children very much. If--" Cohen made a serious "threat".

"Okay... But I have to remind you that he's clumsy and can easily get into trouble, and he's dangerous. If you still don't know this... OK." Mr. Dursley muttered to remind him, but seeing that Cohen had no intention of regretting, he could only shout to the staircase behind him:

"Harry! Go to the birthday party! Damn it, hurry up!"

With a stumbling sound, a thin, bespectacled little boy ran out of the broom closet under the stairs.

  "Cohen?!" Harry said happily.

This was obviously something Mr. Dursley didn't want to see. Harry's happiness would make him unhappy.

"You follow him first, and Dudley will be there at dinner time." Mr. Dursley said to Harry unhappily, "Don't get into trouble."

The tone of his last sentence seemed to be expecting Harry to get into trouble, as if he was sure that Cohen's invitation to Harry to the dinner party was a wrong decision.

"I promise I won't get into trouble." This was what Harry said to Cohen after leaving the Dursleys' house.

But Cohen's mind was obviously not on Harry's promise.

  [Soul Strength: 7 (Sacrifice Protection)]

  [Soul Strength: 40]

Harry has two completely different labels on his body.

It goes without saying that the one marked with "Sacrifice Protection" is Harry's own soul, which is the ancient spell that Lily cast with her life.

And the thing with a full 40 points of soul strength is Voldemort's soul fragment.

What a tough bone to chew!

But even if it can't be sucked away, this powerful soul fragment still exudes a sweet and greasy scent, and in the eyes of the Dementors, it is simply a delicacy.

"Co... Cohen... Why are you looking at me like that..."

Harry swallowed his saliva and took a step back involuntarily.

"Brother, you smell good - no, I was just daydreaming and thinking about what to eat tonight." Koen was only attracted by the tempting Voldemort fragment for a short while, and immediately put away his desire and acted normal.

It's annoying, forty points, at least I have to buy another twenty-nine soul fragments in the sin store, which is 29,000 sin points.

It's like robbing 29,000 children of lollipops!

There is still a long way to go, and I hope the teachers and students of Hogwarts are ready.

"Cohen, thank you for rescuing me. I have been locked up at home by the Dursleys for a month..."

At Cohen's house, Harry ate the apple pie made by Edward himself, which was obviously too sweet, and thanked Cohen repeatedly.

"Thank my dad. If he had set my birthday in October, you might have been locked up until the end of the vacation."

When it came to the end of the vacation, Harry's mood obviously dropped.

Cohen was the only one who was willing to talk to Harry without caring about the title of "freak", but after this vacation, Cohen would go to the school that Daley went to - Smelting, and Harry would go to another public school, Stonewall Middle School. Daley teased Harry for a long time for this reason.

"Be happy, it's not like we won't see each other anymore." Cohen, who knew what would happen in the future, waved his hand nonchalantly, "Pay attention, there is dinner tonight, don't get too full from the apple pie."
