"It doesn't look good," said the fisherman, touching the river water and looking around.
"The temperature is higher than usual, and the water level is unstable. Could it be..." he gulped in fear, "if I'm not wrong, then..."
The fisherman suddenly turned and started running toward the village.
"The dam! The dam is going to collapse! A flood is coming—a massive one!" he shouted.
Most of the villagers ignored him. The dam had stood strong for over a hundred years, and never once had the water overflowed.
Some villagers scoffed at him, saying, "A flood? What even is a flood, huh? As long as that dam stands, 'flood' is just a word to scare little children. And besides, the water level can never rise that high. It's practically impossible!"
After saying that, the man walked away, unconcerned.
