By the time the sun began to set, Vahn realized that the store was no ordinary place. There were no clocks here, no windows—yet time seemed to pass. Strange beings came and went, and each had their own set of rules they followed. Yet, they all paid. Even the mightiest had to respect the price.
The more Vahn thought about it, the more he realized that the cashier—whoever or whatever he was—held the key to this strange store. And somehow, Vahn knew he had to stay. His life was ordinary, yes, but this place... this place held answers.
He didn't know how or why, but Vahn felt his purpose had just shifted.
