It was after two weeks of the day of enlightenment that the park incident had happened.
I had controlled the situation by focusing the magic of the fireball and taking the magic energy back inside my body.
Which surprisingly was very exhausting.
My sword fighting skills remained poor. To improve them I decided to join a martial arts Academy.
I did not have to convince my parents. As they were usually working abroad. I was living alone.
So I left my home with my allowance which was more than enough to cover my expenses.
By the time I reached the academy I had selected for my training, the people were now divided into two groups.
First who wanted to fight and protect our planet and second the ones who were afraid of dying on the battlefield.
Now the first group came to be known as Magic Army. They were individually referred to as magicians.
They were now classified into different classes. Like , D, C, B, A, S class.
There was a new invention to check your class, the Manameter. I hadn't checked my class yet and I thought about doing it after I reached the academy.
As the whole world was just learning to control magic some with innate talent were shining brightly among others.
But they were few in numbers. After three weeks the number of S classes around the world was less than a hundred.
The academy which I chose was Super Martial Arts Academy. Well from the name you might think that they are not very serious about martial arts.
But they were one of the best in the country with eight S class magicians in one place.
It was the highest in the country. Which made getting inside the academy a little hard as they were very much competition.
So now they conducted a test which was in two stages, because of the ridiculously high number of applicants.
First they tested on Manameter the top 1000 were selected from which only 50 went into the academy.
The second phase was a Battle Royal. All 1000 who reached the second stage were into a large circular stadium.
A lot of people come to watch the second stage of the entrance test.
The moment I stepped inside the academy I could feel the amount of magic power coming from inside.
The academy was rich in wildlife and it was very big. There were apartments for the trainers and students to live in, gyms, a large number of grounds, a whole lake for the water mages, mountains created by one of the S class for earth mages and much more.
The test was being conducted in one of the larger grounds. As I approached it I saw a very very long line.
A guy in floral shorts and a t- shirt with a blue cap was standing at the start of the line. He didn't look very strong but I felt a strong flow of magic power coming from his direction.
He was shouting " Anybody who wants to give the test go to the end of the line".
The line seemed endless to me.it had curves also so that everyone could fit on the same ground. After some time I reached the end of the line.
I didn't pay much attention to anyone in my surroundings. While I waited I tried to concentrate the flow of magic in my body.
After three hours of waiting I could finally see the start of the line.
As I got ready for my turn. I saw three guys approaching the area where the test was being held without standing in the line.
They looked like crooks and were, of course.
In the center was their leader obviously he was wearing a black jacket and a black trouser. His looks were average.
Nobody said anything to him and I was about to, but the guy in the shorts stopped him " Hey, where do you think you're going".
The guy started to laugh "Do you know who I am?" he said with a smile.
"I don't think there is anything I need to know about someone like you. Now don't cause trouble and go to the back of the line" The shorts guy replied coldly.
The average looking guy now looked pissed. He held out his hand and started to focus hia magic power into his hand.
He didn't look strong to me but his amount of magic power was almost close to mine when I use spells.
"I am an A class magician. Get out of my way Or I'll break your bones. Are you still trying to stop me?" he said somewhat over confidently.
The shorts guy let out a sigh, and punched the side of the crook guy and sent him flying. He had punched so hard even I had heard the sound of bones breaking.
"This will teach you a lesson" The shorts guy said. " Take him away" He said to the two guys who had come with him.
With a little bit of entertainment I finally reached the area with the manameter.
I had not yet used manameter so I didn't know what is my class. I kind of hoped for S but I thought A would also be good.
As I approached the manameter I saw it for the first time. It was like a big metal cube with a door on one side and a control panel on the other.
On the control panel was a woman in her mid thirties I think. She was wearing a lab coat, the one you see scientists or doctors wearing. Her looks were also not that good. She was slim, and did not have very long hairs.
She smiled at me and said the obvious "Step in the machine from that side".
I went inside the machine " Close your eyes and focus on your flow of magic. The machine is already working, tell me when you're done. " She said from outside.
The machine still looked like a cube from inside also, but there were various lines of different colours around me.
I took a deep breath and focused on my flow of magic. I did it for thirty to forty. Seconds. And then " You can come out" The woman said from outside.
While he was concentrating, Shelly(the woman's name) was looking at the screen smiling.
After I came out "Your first time using this?" She asked.
"Yes," I replied.
"So you do not know your class"
"Yes"
"I'll just tell you straight." She looked at the screen and then on to some papers.
" Your class is A as a mage and B as a knight"
