Episode 5: Reality
Tanim gasped.
"T-This is… this is my village… m-my grandma's home..."
His legs trembled. He ran forward, stumbling into the house.
What he saw froze him in place.
His blood turned to ice.
A shiver shot down his spine.
Blood. Everywhere.
The walls, the floor, the furniture—everything splattered with dark, dried blood.
The bloods are dried. That means it has been a while when that incident happened!
Tanim collapsed to his knees.
And then... he screamed and starts crying.
"H-How on earth is this possible~?! How did they die like this?! Why didn't I die with them?! Why~?!"
His cries shattered the quiet—echoing through the house like a curse.
Vashkar took a step forward… then stopped.
He clenched his fist, his voice become heavy with anger and guilt.
"If only… if only I'd been faster. If I'd been more cautious—when the LIFE POTION fell to Earth… I should've come for it immediately. Then maybe… maybe this wouldn't have happened to your family."
Tanim's eyes lit with rage.
He rushed to Vashkar and grabbed his collar.
"What are you saying?! Did they die because of you?!
"What is this IT? LIFE POTION?! Is that what killed my family?! Why didn't you save them?! Why~?!"
Vashkar held Tanim's shoulders firmly.
"Pull yourself together, Tanim. We have to go. Back to the Living Realm as soon as possible. I'll explain everything—because I have to."
Tanim's vision blurred. His knees gave way.
His body collapsed—unconscious.
Vashkar caught him gently… and carried him back into the glowing portal of the Living Realm.
