"He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life" -Muhammad Ali
A quote I listened from the one and only king of boxing, and here I am explaining the life of me "Binta Kamar" or thats what I was named before the tragic incident.
My name is Binta Kamar, a young 21 year old man in his prime, I was just a normal college student starting the life of adulthood doing shenanigans and whatnot, I wasnt the handsomest of the entire campus nor the strongest until I met a random boxing gym that I came across while just heading back home, I decided to head in checking what it was and saw people both male and female wearing gloves that looked twice the size of my hands punching what looks like a sack hanging on chains making noise, the interior seemed normal but bit rundown, until I was spotted by what looks like the owner
???: "Oi! What are ya doin here lad? Something caught ye eye?"
As he said while approaching me sizing me up, as he looks like in the mid 60's and around 5'4" as he dragged me into the gym despite I tried to remove his grasp from my wrist but his grip was strong like a claw.
"Owww!! Hey hey hey!! What are you doing old man!!" As I said while he dragged me into the gym and toss me aside as he tossed me those gloves.
???: "Try out boxing lad, you must be curious, plus I saw potential in you lad, you would reach through great heights" as he said while crossing his arms and giving a smirk "also I wont let you leave unless you try it out." As he pointed ne to a vacant boxing bag that nobody is using.
I sigh as I took it and wear it similar to what I read in a manga where that young highschooler strive to be the best of the best and I went to the boxing bag, at first i just try to just do flimsy punches to just try to get out but the owner knows that I'm not putting my all into it, the more I put effort into it the more the owner giving advice on how to hit the boxing bag like "Straighten your jab more!" Or "put more power when giving bodyshots wimp!!", I hate he calls me that, but then again I didnt mind as the more I practiced, my form of fighting aka boxing improved, 4 hours went by as he finally let me go as he laughed like a old pirate
???: "Hahahahah!! You have talent kid!! Especially that right hook of yours, of all the rookies I trained your hook is the strongest, come back here again when ya wanna join boxing under my wing, you have a friend also right here"
as he said while pointing at another person similar to me as he is white and bald, yet his bodyshot punches lifts those bags for a small moment the more he hits it while I went out.
To be honest i thought boxing was only for adults or "big boys" my mama told me, but I never know that I can also become one also, but I know it would be a really tough and crueling one trying to become one, especially this isnt the normal type of boxing I read or watch as a kid.
