Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: The Reckoning of Camelot

Location: Camelot – The War Council

The world was at a precipice.

As the gods of Olympus lay in ruin and the Cabal's shadow loomed over the multiverse, Camelot stood as the last bastion of hope. But even this shining kingdom was beginning to fracture under the weight of betrayal, loss, and the growing tide of darkness.

Inside the War Council chamber, the Round Table was filled with warriors, leaders, and allies who had come together to face the coming storm. Harry, now crowned as the king of Camelot, stood at the head of the table, his face hardened with the burden of leadership.

Around him were those who had sworn their loyalty: Jean Grey, the Phoenix Knight; Wanda Maximoff, master of chaos magic; Luna Lovegood, the seer; Storm, the weather goddess; and Sirius Black, who had been given a chance at redemption.

But something was wrong. The tension in the room was palpable, the weight of impending war settling heavily on everyone's shoulders.

"The time is coming," Harry said, his voice steady but filled with determination. "The Cabal will strike soon. And when they do, they will come for us."

Sirius, sitting at the far end of the table, clenched his fists, his once-broken soul now beginning the slow process of healing. He spoke with a voice filled with conviction, "We need to unite all the forces we can. The gods may be fallen, but there are still allies out there who will stand with us. The Avengers, the X-Men, even the Asgardians. We can't afford to be divided."

Jean nodded, her red hair glowing faintly as the Phoenix power within her simmered. "We need to take the fight to them before they can destroy everything we've built. If we wait for them to strike, it will be too late."

But as Harry prepared to give the order, a voice from the shadows interrupted them.

"I think you're forgetting something, Harry."

Everyone turned to the doorway, where Loki stood, his mischievous grin spreading across his face.

Loki's Game

"Loki," Harry said, his voice cold with suspicion. "What are you doing here? You betrayed us before. Why should we trust you now?"

Loki's grin only widened, his eyes glinting with a hint of something far more dangerous. "Because, my dear boy, you have no choice. The Cabal is coming for you, and they will not stop until your kingdom is dust. But I can help you. I've seen their plans."

Merlin, standing beside Harry, scowled. "Don't listen to him, Harry. Loki is as treacherous as they come."

Loki laughed softly, stepping forward into the room. "Perhaps. But even a trickster can be useful when the world is ending. And right now, your little kingdom is on the brink of collapse. I'm offering you information, not loyalty."

Harry's eyes narrowed. "What do you know?"

"I know," Loki said with a smirk, "that the Cabal is preparing a weapon. A weapon that will obliterate Camelot and everything connected to it. The gods, the multiverse… even you, Harry. They've found a way to sever your connection to the multiverse itself."

A chill ran through the room as Harry processed the gravity of Loki's words. He could feel the magic that had once connected him to the multiverse beginning to wane, as though something was actively trying to sever that link.

"And what do you want in return?" Harry asked warily.

Loki shrugged. "Nothing. Just the pleasure of seeing you squirm a bit. But if you want to stop this weapon from being unleashed, you'll need to trust me. I know where they're keeping it."

The Last Stand

Harry was faced with a choice: trust the trickster god who had betrayed them time and time again, or risk everything to face the Cabal without his help. The room fell silent, the weight of the decision settling on Harry's shoulders.

"I will not trust him completely," Harry said finally, his voice hard with resolve. "But we have no time. If Loki knows something, then we must use it."

Loki's grin deepened. "Wise decision, young king."

Sirius, who had been quiet throughout the conversation, spoke up. "We'll need a plan to get there—fast. If the Cabal is building a weapon, we cannot waste any more time."

Merlin nodded in agreement. "I can open a portal to the location, but it will take all of my magic. We cannot afford to fail."

Jean, her Phoenix fire flaring, stood. "Then we go now. We take the fight to them and end it once and for all."

The Final Push

The armies of Camelot, the X-Men, the Avengers, and the remaining gods who had not fallen—Thor, Loki, and Hercules—marched toward the heart of the Cabal's power. With Loki's guidance, they breached the hidden stronghold of the Cabal, a fortress built at the very edge of the multiverse, where time and space were twisted beyond recognition.

The battle was brutal. The Cabal's forces—led by the Nameless One, Black Harry, and corrupted avatars of gods—fought fiercely, but they were no match for the combined might of the Phoenix Knights, the Avengers, and the warriors of Camelot.

As the final confrontation with the Nameless One drew near, Harry stepped forward, the weight of his destiny pressing down on him. The fabric of the multiverse had been ripped apart by the Cabal's machinations, and only he had the power to heal it.

"You won't win," Harry declared, his voice carrying across the battlefield.

The Nameless One laughed, his form flickering between realities. "The multiverse will die, Harry. You're too late."

But Harry's eyes burned with the fury of the gods. "Not today."

With a surge of power, Harry and the Phoenix Knights unleashed the full force of their combined magic, breaking the chains that bound the multiverse together. The Cabal's weapon exploded in a burst of light, and with it, the Nameless One and all of his followers were destroyed.

The Aftermath

The battlefield was silent, the dust settling as the echoes of the final battle faded into the ether. Camelot stood, but it was forever changed. The world was scarred, but it had survived.

Harry stood among his allies, his face bloodied but unbroken. "It's over," he said quietly. "For now."

But the multiverse was healing, and with it, hope was reborn. And Harry, as the Guardian of the Multiverse, would continue to protect it—for as long as he was able.
