Chapter 2
Ray was woken up by his alarm. He joyfully got ready. He was happy that he could spend the day with Orien. There were lots of things he wanted to do with him, but most of all he just wanted Orien's company. As Ray was tying his hair, his hair bobbin snapped. "dammit the bobbin broke" he mumbled. He pouted, half-jokingly. He picked up his phone so he could text Orien.< what time should we meet up? > <11:00?> < alright > < see you than >. As 11 approached Ray made his way to a park, him and Orien's favorite place to go. He was slightly early so he waited for a bit.
Orien sat down beside him and smiled. "Hello love". Ray hugged him and smiled back. "Good morning". They sat there for a while, basking in each other's presence. Orien broke the silence. "shall we go" "where?" "come, follow me". And so they went on a walk, with Orien leading the way.
As they were walking they engaged in conversation. They talked about their plans for the weekend ahead, how their week had been and how Ray's work was. Eventually the conversation changed and Ray was complaining about his hairband snapping and that he didn't have any more to use. "I'd love to get my hair cut. I can never find someone willing to cut it because it's so long". It was silent the rest of the way. Eventually Ray saw a salon. "Why are we going here?". "I've noticed that you've been trying to cut your hair yourself. So I want to cut it for you". Ray was hit with a surge of surprise. He was so grateful to Orien that he began to cry tears of joy. He squeezed Orien so tight that the air momentarily left Orien's lungs. Orien was caught off guard, but quickly realized and hugged Ray back.
Ray sat down on a chair and crossed his legs, swinging them back and forth. His smile was so bright there were tears pecking at the corners of his eyes. Meanwhile Orien was gathering the right equipment to use and brought it over to the area where Ray was. He then began to ask Ray questions about how he wanted his hair to look like. A couple hours later, Ray was grinning ear to ear. He thanked Orien to many times to count. Both their hearts throbbed with affection for each other.
Ray ended up with a short-ish wolf cut with the ends flicked out. Ray also persuaded Orien to let him braid his hair. Orien agreed. As Ray was braiding Orien's hair, he added a string that was the same colour as his hair to resemble the bond they shared. when Ray was finished, he brought over a mirror. Orien smirked as he noticed the string that Ray had put in his hair. "it's beautiful…."
As they left the salon, the sun was already setting. they noticed a fair and decided to go and look. When they got there they saw a massive Ferris wheel , there wasn't a big queue either. They both unconsciously walked towards it. At the entrance there was a sign. "couples go free at sunset". They both exchanged a smile and walked forward. As they reached the highest point of the ferris-wheel, they held hands, leaning against each other. And as the sun set, they shared a kiss, basking in the moment.
