The baby—now a one-year-old boy—sat on the floor, clumsily stacking wooden blocks as his mind raced with thoughts far beyond his physical age.
"Man, I hate being a baby."
He sighed inwardly, watching as his tiny hands fumbled with the toy. His mother, Mira, hummed softly in the kitchen, the rich aroma of stew filling the cozy cottage. The past year had been… strange, to say the least.
"Never thought I'd be reincarnated into the world of Fairy Tail," he mused. "This was my first anime. I loved it. But now that I'm here… what does that even mean?"
Memories of the show flickered in his mind—wizards, guilds, dragons, and insane magical battles. The thought was equal parts thrilling and terrifying.
"Am I just some background character? Or… could I actually be part of this world?"
Before he could dwell further, the door swung open with a creak, and a deep voice boomed through the house.
"I'm home, honey!"
A tall, broad-shouldered man stepped inside, his boots dusty from travel. His dark hair was tied back in a loose ponytail, and a sword hung at his hip. His face lit up as he spotted the child.
"And how's my little ray of sunshine today?" he said, scooping the boy up with a grin.
The baby—who had been given a name he still wasn't quite used to—stared at the man. "So this is my dad, huh?"
Mira smiled warmly from the kitchen. "Welcome back, dear. Dinner's almost ready."
"Smells amazing," the man said, bouncing the child in his arms before setting him back down. "You've been keeping your mother busy, haven't you?"
An involuntary giggle escaped—damn baby reflexes—as his father ruffled his hair.
"Okay, so… parents are nice. That's good. But where exactly are we? And when?"
His thoughts were interrupted as his father turned to Mira. "I heard rumors in town. There's talk of dark guilds moving near the border. We might need to be careful."
Mira's smile faded slightly. "Do you think they'd come this far?"
"Hard to say. But we'll be ready."
The boy's eyes widened. "Dark guilds? Already?!"
His father sighed, then knelt in front of him with a playful smirk. "Don't worry, little warrior. Your old man won't let anything happen to you."
The child pouted internally. "Easy for you to say. I'm stuck in a baby's body while there's actual magic and danger out there!"
But as he looked at his parents—their warmth, their strength—a new thought struck him.
"Maybe… just maybe… this is my chance. If this really is Fairy Tail's world, then magic is real. And if I can learn it…"
A slow, determined grin spread across his face.
"I'm gonna be a wizard."
