Chapter 1 - Before the unlimited

The rain fell without end, as if the sky was crying for him—only him.

In a narrow alley between two abandoned buildings, a thin boy sat hugging his trembling body. The night was cold, but not colder than his loneliness. His name was Leo. No last name, no family, no one ever called him anything but "you."

He had been placed in an orphanage as an infant. The years passed like centuries, each day indistinguishable from the next. Gray walls, rusty iron beds, the smell of cold food, and the sounds… those sounds—screaming, crying, and the heavy footsteps of the supervisors. No kind words, no hugs, no bedtime stories.

The children came and went—some were adopted, some ran away, some sent to worse places. But Leo? No one ever adopted him. He was always there… like a forgotten piece of furniture in a dusty corner.

He loved staring at the sky through the small window in his room. He liked to imagine someone looking back down at him. Maybe a mother he never met, maybe a father he wished existed… or maybe just a dream. A dream that another world existed, a different life, where he wasn't invisible.

At school, he wasn't liked. He wore old, tattered clothes and bore bruises without complaint. He had no friends—no one to share lunch with, no one to sit beside. Yet… he didn't hate them. He just wished someone would see him.

Days, weeks, years went by. He worked in laundromats, cleaned streets, carried boxes—anything to silence his hunger. He smiled despite it all. He told himself: "Maybe… one day, I'll get a chance. Just a chance."

And on that day… the rain fell, as it always did, but it felt different.

He saw an old woman trying to cross the street, while people passed her without a glance. Cars sped by, the rain blurring their vision. Leo rushed toward her, not for any reward, only because he couldn't bear seeing the weak suffer as he had.

He ran. Grabbed her hand. Smiled.

Then came the monstrous sound—the roar of a truck whose driver had lost control.

Everything happened fast. The old woman fell to the sidewalk. But he didn't make it.

A blow. Pain. Then… coldness.

He collapsed to the ground, blood mixing with rain. He wasn't afraid. He simply looked up at the sky… as he always had.

But this time, the sky wasn't silent.

In a moment, within the darkness that began to swallow him, he heard a voice unlike anything he had ever known:

> [Qualified user identity verified…]

[Activating system: "The Infinite System"]

[Previous life data collected…]

[Transferring consciousness… to appropriate world…]

Leo smiled, faintly, as he sank into the dark.

"A new world… a family?"

Then silence.
