The men of the Gray Family should never fall in love with women.
"You—" Old Master Gray's face turned red with anger, which clearly wasn't good for his health, especially after what he'd just gone through two days ago.
But Jeffrey didn't try to calm him down at all. Instead, he said calmly, "Grandpa, since I'm saying this to you today, it means I already have the strength to protect her. Your doctor said if you take care of yourself, you could still live for several more years."
Old Master Gray let out a sharp laugh, almost like he was choking on it. "Well, well. So it's true...you really have feelings for that woman? Have you forgotten your father's example? Are you planning to walk the same path?"
"I haven't forgotten," Jeffrey replied, firm and cold. "Even if I fall in love with a woman, I won't let her control my life."
Old Master Gray scoffed. "That's what your father said too. And what happened? He died because of a woman!"
