Chapter 85 - Breaking into the House in the Middle of the Night

For someone like that, Rachel was kinda used to it. A lot of people looked down on sanitation workers.

Sometimes, even when it was their own fault for bumping into someone, they'd still turn around and blame the worker like it was nothing.

"It's okay, Sister Rivera. It's just a small thing," Rachel said, continuing to sweep the street with Sister Rivera.

When their shift ended and Rachel was changing out of her uniform, she suddenly found a small silver bracelet in her pocket.

When did this bracelet get in my pocket? Rachel thought.

Since it was a night shift, there weren't many people around the sanitation office. Rachel just put the bracelet away, planning to register it as lost property the next day.

When she got back to her rented room, it was dark and completely quiet.

Before, when she came home from night shifts, the lights would already be on, and Jeffrey would be waiting for her.
