Diary—Chapter 7: Qian Renxue Eats the Melon, Then Realizes It's Her Melon.
Spirit Hall – Pope's Palace.
Bibi Dong and Hu Liena, teacher and disciple, were both intently reading the diary.
However, when they reached the part where Luo Ye claimed that Bibi Dong had been deceived by Yu Xiaogang and ultimately became a stepping stone for Tang San to obtain the Asura God's inheritance, Bibi Dong's expression turned gloomy. His remarks about exposing Yu Xiaogang's hypocrisy enraged her.
Bang!
"How dare he say that about Xiaogang?!"
A terrifying aura exploded from Bibi Dong's body. The resulting shockwave swept through the entire Pope's Palace, catching Hu Liena off guard. She was blasted backward several meters before she barely managed to stabilize herself.
Shaken, Hu Liena looked at her teacher in confusion, not understanding why she was suddenly so agitated.
But Bibi Dong wasn't paying attention to her at all. She continued cursing furiously.
"That bastard! I don't care if he's reincarnated, or even if he was my disciple in his past life—if he dares to slander Xiaogang like that, he must pay the price!"
Seeing Bibi Dong's anger spiraling as if she were about to march off and deal with Luo Ye personally, Hu Liena quickly intervened.
"Wait, Teacher! Don't forget the diary's rule—anyone who possesses a copy cannot harm Luo Ye. If they do, they'll be erased!"
At her words, Bibi Dong's momentum stalled for a moment. But then her rage reignited.
"So I'm just supposed to sit here and let him smear Xiaogang's name without doing anything?!"
Hu Liena hesitated, then carefully asked, "Teacher… What exactly is your relationship with Yu Xiaogang?"
At first, she'd thought the diary might be some sort of spiritual trap or illusion. But after seeing Bibi Dong's overreaction to a few words about Yu Xiaogang, she now fully believed that the diary was real. It confirmed what Luo Ye had written—Bibi Dong had indeed been deceived by Yu Xiaogang and used as a stepping stone for Tang San, leading to her downfall.
Bibi Dong's expression darkened as painful memories surfaced. Her voice turned cold.
"That's none of your concern. Don't ask again."
Realizing how truly angry her teacher was, Hu Liena wisely stayed silent. But deep down, her curiosity only grew stronger.
She knew of Yu Xiaogang. Most soul masters on the continent had heard of him—though not in a good way. His reputation was terrible.
He was known as a famous "waste." He always preached that there were no useless martial souls, only useless soul masters. Yet he couldn't even break through to a three-ring cultivation level.
Ironically, he was the perfect example of his philosophy.
Hu Liena couldn't help but scoff inwardly at Yu Xiaogang. Then she looked back at her teacher and cautiously offered a suggestion.
"Teacher, didn't you just say we should find a way to bring Luo Ye to the Spirit Hall? How about I go now and bring him back before he reaches Shrek Academy?"
When Hu Liena had first received the diary, she had panicked, thinking someone was tampering with her soul. She immediately ran to Bibi Dong, only to discover her teacher also had a copy.
Together, they'd tried to test the diary's rules by telling outsiders. The near-erasure they experienced proved the rules were very real.
From then on, they treated the diary as a potential treasure trove of information.
When they discovered the contents of the Points Mall, even the composed Bibi Dong was tempted enough to want to recruit Luo Ye at all costs.
But now, after reading Luo Ye's criticism of Yu Xiaogang, Bibi Dong's attitude has shifted drastically.
Facing Hu Liena's proposal, Bibi Dong rejected it without hesitation.
"Why bother? If he wants to go to Shrek Academy, let him. It has nothing to do with us."
Hu Liena gave her teacher a complicated look. She opened her mouth, hesitated, and finally couldn't help but speak.
"Teacher… even if you believe Luo Ye is slandering the master, there's no need to take it so personally. He's doing it for your sake. He doesn't want you to become Tang San's stepping stone like before and die by his hand."
The more Bibi Dong insisted on defending Yu Xiaogang, the more Hu Liena believed the diary was true.
She was starting to see just how easily her teacher might have been manipulated.
Bibi Dong felt her disciple's gaze and became so furious that her chest ached. She shouted in frustration and shame.
"Enough! I don't want to hear another word about it. You are not going to find him!"
Just as Hu Liena was about to respond, both their diaries suddenly lit up and began to display new entries. Bibi Dong waved her hand.
"Fine. Let's drop it. Let's see what else this brat has to say."
Bibi Dong had made up her mind. If Luo Ye dared to slander Yu Xiaogang again, she would find a way to teach him a lesson. Even if she couldn't hurt him directly, she would make him understand that there are things better left unsaid—even in a diary.
To her relief, Luo Ye didn't continue the Yu Xiaogang topic. Instead, he moved on to a new subject.
But Bibi Dong's mood only grew more complicated as she read the next lines.

[If I don't join Spirit Hall, not only would I lose the family I found in my teacher and senior sisters, but I would also lose my heroic and beautiful fiancée.]
[In my previous life, once I showed my talent, it wasn't just Pope Bibi Dong who took notice. Even Qian Daoliu, the chief priest of the Worship Hall who had long since withdrawn from public affairs, was very interested in me.]
[After observing me for a while and confirming my character, he decisively tried to recruit me into the Worship Hall. After all, the Worship Hall and Bibi Dong weren't exactly on friendly terms.]
[Unfortunately, he failed to win me over, and I became Bibi Dong's disciple instead.]
[Still, Qian Daoliu didn't give up. He believed that if he could draw me into his camp, not only could he protect his granddaughter's future, but he could also bring Spirit Hall's power back under the Qian family's control.]
[So he came up with a plan—to marry me to his granddaughter. Since I was still young, it was just an engagement at the time.]
[And that granddaughter… is Qian Renxue!]
