Aokiji began getting ready, unfreezing his entire bathroom one last time. He needed to take a shower since he had school later, but he couldn't help but smile. He was now a younger version of Aokiji, something he never thought possible in his previous life. But now, he was living that reality, just in a different world. Not that it mattered. He would still become the greatest hero this world had ever seen, even greater than All Might.
After half an hour of his morning routine, Aokiji made his way downstairs in a house as massive as a castle. He couldn't help but wonder how wealthy his parents were. Based on his memories, they were both retired heroes who were now leisurely spending their money, thanks to a business that practically ran itself.
When he entered the dining hall, he saw both his parents sitting at the table, waiting for breakfast to be served.
His mother, a former hero with snow-related powers similar to the Yuki Yuki no Mi (Snow-Snow Fruit), was named Kuzan Fubuki, but her hero name was Yuki Onna, after the mythical snow woman. Her personality was kind and helpful toward others, but ruthless toward villains. There was one time when she nearly killed a villain through frostbite after he threatened to kill a child he had taken hostage. Aokiji had just been born at that time, and Fubuki admitted that the child reminded her of him, intensifying her rage and amplifying her powers.
His father, also a former hero, had a quirk similar to the Riki Riki no Mi (Strength-Strength Fruit). In his prime, he could lift entire buildings with ease. His name was Kuzan Goro, and he had once been the number one hero in Brazil before moving to Japan to challenge All Might to a duel. However, instead of the duel, he met Fubuki and fell in love. He took Fubuki's last name to honor her father, a well-known hero with significant influence in Japan.
"Hmm, look who woke up so early. It seems our boy is growing up now," Goro said teasingly. Before Aokiji awakened his memories, he would always sleep in until noon, which was a major reason why he was often late and frequently scolded by his teachers.
"Don't tease him, dear," Fubuki said, giving Goro a gentle nudge. She knew how cranky Aokiji could get if he was teased right after waking up — especially when he was up earlier than usual.
"What made you wake up so early? It's unusual to see you up at this hour," Fubuki asked, noticing the unusual intensity in Aokiji's gaze as he stood there, staring at them both.
Aokiji didn't respond immediately. Instead, he simply said, "I think it's better to just show you."
Before they could question him further, a sudden chill swept through the room. In an instant, Aokiji froze the entire dining hall. Frost covered the walls, ceiling, and floor, creating a crystalline landscape.
Both Fubuki and Goro were stunned. Their son had finally awakened his quirk — and it was already powerful.
Fubuki's eyes widened as she scanned the room. The sheer extent of the freezing was impressive, especially for a first awakening. Meanwhile, Goro shivered, feeling the biting cold. Unlike Fubuki, who was immune to low temperatures, Goro felt the full brunt of the chill.
Annoyed by the cold, Goro clenched his fist and was about to punch the ground, intending to shatter the ice. But before he could act, Aokiji raised his hand. The frost immediately began to retract, pulling back like a wave and returning the dining hall to its original state, as if the ice had never been there.
Fubuki's eyes widened even further. "Incredible," she murmured. While she could generate snow and ice, her powers required the snow to melt naturally; she couldn't simply retract it at will. Yet Aokiji had just done exactly that — effortlessly.
"Looks like I win, dear," Fubuki said smugly, glancing at Goro. The quirk their only son was displaying clearly resembled hers.
"Oh, you're not so sure. He might also have my quirk," Goro defended, not wanting to admit defeat. It was a playful rivalry between them, a childish dynamic that kept their relationship fun and lighthearted, allowing them both to retain a bit of immaturity.
"Aokiji, you don't need to go to school today," Fubuki said, turning her attention to their son. "After we eat, we'll call your uncle to do a quirk registration and test, alright?"
"Yeah, but we can test your quirk now, while your uncle isn't here," Goro chimed in, reminding them of the training dome they had. "We have a training dome, right?"
"Good idea, dear. After we eat, we should head there," Fubuki agreed.
A few minutes later, the servants brought out the food, and Goro immediately began to devour it. His quirk required a significant amount of nutrition to maintain its strength, so he always ate a large amount. Aokiji, too, found himself eating more than usual, much more than he had before. It was as if he were becoming a younger version of Goro.
This caused Goro to glance at Fubuki with a small grin, a knowing look on his face. Aokiji seemed to have inherited the same variant of his quirk. Fubuki just sighed, a little exasperated, but she couldn't help but smile at the situation.
The three of them continued eating, the atmosphere comfortable and familiar.
