In the past, he used to love his girlfriend, her brown eyes, olive skin, and cute outfits she came up with to wear every day to school. But looking at her only brought rage in his heart.
Silas walked closer and asked sharply, "What are you doing here? You don't sit here."
Strangely, his former girlfriend's straight back bent, her shoulder shrunk like she was hearing a terrifying voice behind her, and she turned around with terrible slowness at the pace of a snail.
Mia's face carried a terrible fear, and her head was lowered, and her eyes glanced to the floor like a terrified mouse.
She said in a low voice, "S–Silas. I brought you lunch like you asked me to."
What the hell is she playing at? Is she trying to act pitiful to gain sympathy cards from everyone?
Silas stared at her with a fierce, sharp gaze. Her words only made people around her look suspicious. Their eyes looked toward Silas with disapproval, and they shook their heads at him like a bastard.
Silas didn't smile but said coldly with a flat expression, "Quit acting like a bitch, and move on. I told you that we're done, so what else are you playing at?"
His harsh words made Mia shrug her shoulders even further, and her eyes turned red, and a couple of tears fell down her cheeks. Her actions made other people look at her with pity.
Poor girl.
Why is this poor girl trying so hard to please this guy?!
Almost everyone in the cafe was displeased with Silas, and one of them spoke up with disapproval in his voice, "Hey, don't go too far! You bastard don't even deserve her! How dare you put those bruises on her fragile body, you monster!"
Everyone in the room nodded in agreement, and more people spoke up with protests, their words getting louder by the second. Their words became even more fierce and sharp.
The woman with the strawberry blond hair had her head lowered on the ground, wiped her teary eyes, and once she noticed that no one was looking at her from the corner of her eyes.
Her eyes lifted with humor, and her lips lifted into a smirk, and she thought coldly. You want to break up with me! Dream on!
Silas wanted to refute badly, but he knew that saying anything more would make them even angrier, and he pursed his lips to avoid saying anything.
Besides, they will find out the truth tonight.
He gave the last glance to the two-faced bitch, and he shook his head with disappointment.
He turned around without looking anyone in the eye. He was forced to keep his head high and proud because he hadn't done anything wrong.
Although his skin flared with discomfort and humiliation, he kept telling himself to continue walking with his head high. Letting these foolish people get to him would only be foolish.
They know nothing, so they don't deserve to see his downcast shoulders and head.
Walking with his head held high, he went to another empty table; people around him glanced at him in pity and disgust.
Before he could take a seat, someone had smashed a plate full of food on his head. His head was smashed with mashed potatoes, beef, and some other things.
Silas was completely stunned, his mouth opened wide in shock, and he closed his eyes before the food could slide down.
The warm food had drifted over his eyes, nose, and neck. Silas could hear the shocked gasps around him like a clap of thunder, and he felt his heart pounding.
He used his bottom shirt to wipe his eyes; the stickiness lingered behind. His face was covered with everything.
The people in the room were snickering at him like a bullied dog found on a comedian's stage, and once Silas got everything off his face. He opened his eyes and saw everyone was staring at him like it was an interesting show.
Silas could feel the anger flush through him, and it took everything in him to remain calm. Everything.
His heart pounded with dread and pure raw anger. He saw the person a short distance away with the empty plate in his hand.
The person had red hair, and he carried a sneer on his face. He recognized the man, and he was one of Mia's former boyfriends. They used to date back in the day before he started with Mia.
In the past, the man used to be jealous of him, saying that he took his girlfriend from him.
Silas looked at him with a cold smile and, without warning, walked up to the man. The man looked at him with a raised brow, challenging him. The man spoke in a sarcastic tone, "What are you going to do, bastard—"
Silas smiled, but his eyes didn't carry any humor. He reached to grab a plate with food nearby and threw it on the man's face swiftly and without warning!
As soon as the food landed on his face, he screamed out loud with piercing wails, and he bent over and rubbed his face like he had poison in his eyes.
The man continued screaming, "Ahh! TOO HOT!"
Silas saw his face becoming as red as a tomato when the man was able to wipe some of the food away from his face. His face was deep scarlet red, and some teachers entered the cafe upon hearing the screams.
Some of the teachers gasped in shock and horror, and a few with panic on their faces went up to him and asked, "What the fuck?!"
The man was still yelling with pure panic, and he went up to the closest teacher and shouted as he grabbed the teacher's shoulders, "My face! It's too hot!"
The male teacher grabbed him by the shoulder and sternly said, "Calm down! Go call an ambulance now!"
The male teacher looked behind with the other teachers, and one of them pulled out their phone to call an ambulance, their hands shaking.
