Chapter 1 - The Last Letter

The rain fell soft against the glass,

As Elara's heart clung to the past.

A letter, unopened, edges torn,

A love once tender, now forlorn.

She had begged him, with trembling hands,

"Stay, please stay, forget your plans."

But he, with dreams too far to chase,

Left her behind with empty space.

Before he left, with one last kiss,

He handed her a letter, sealed in bliss.

"Open it when you're ready, love. You'll see,

The words inside will set you free."

The silence came, the days grew cold,

Her world without him, growing old.

The letter stayed, untouched, unread,

As memories of him filled her head.

And then it came, the cruel, sharp sound,

His life lost in the earth, unbound.

The mountains cold, the road too steep,

Her heart shattered, and she couldn't weep.

The letter burned in her hands that night,

Words she never saw, a love's last fight.

"If you want me back, just say the word,

I'll come to you, I'll be your world."

She ran through rain, through bitter grief,

Her heart broken, beyond belief.

She found the place where they once stood,

But he was gone, as she knew he would.

"Why didn't you listen to me?" he whispered,

His voice a memory, a love that withered.

He was just a shadow in the pouring rain,

Her heart lost forever in endless pain.

The letter slipped through her trembling hands,

Words left unsaid, love lost in strands.

"I'm sorry, love, for not coming back,"

But the echo faded—her world turned black.

And now she stands, alone in the night,

With nothing but a love that never took flight.

A ghost, a dream, forever gone,

Her heart aching, but life must move on.
