"Tsk, this damn game."
I looked at the screen that was filled with red "game over" words and couldn't help but curse.
Marlize Online.
A game about a huge continent called Marlize, it doesn't follow a main storyline, but the whole continent is filled with stories.
This is one point that makes the game very realistic, but this also gives it a terrible difficulty.
There was a time when I was controlling my character to participate in a battle, and I was winning, but suddenly the enemy had reinforcements because another battlefield was lost.
So when I played again, I switched to that failed battlefield. I was about to win, but the previous situation repeated itself. The other battlefield failed without my help, and my battlefield failed as well.
What a hell of a game.
But it's because of the weirdness of this game that I love it so much.
Looking at the clock it was late at night, I took off my headphones and went to bed.
But, as soon as the consciousness leaves the body to enter the dream realm,I was suddenly brought back to my room.
"What the hell is this?"
I gasped, turned around and found myself lying on the bed with my head down.
Am I sleepwalking?
"What an interesting experience..."
I muttered, then looked towards the brightest spot in the room.
I don't know when, but my computer screen turned on again, however, the red "game over" words had disappeared, replaced by a white word.
"Restart."
I read the letter that appeared, but what does restart mean?
For some reason, I had an urge to get closer, and so I did.
Closer and closer, step by step, until I was close enough to touch the screen.
At that moment, I saw the entire screen suddenly emit an intense white light, engulfing my vision, even my consciousness.
I fainted.

The situation when I woke up was truly difficult to describe in words.
No longer the familiar modern and somewhat gloomy bedroom, the place I woke up in was a small, damp hole filled with the stench of garbage and mold.
Looking at the mouse as big as a fist looking at me fiercely, I was stunned.
"What the hell just happened?"
That is the most appropriate sentence to describe my confused mood right now.
Not only did I come to a strange place, but even my body changed.
I turned into a child, and a beggar.
Recalling the previous scene, I came up with a terrifying guess, that my soul had been pulled out of my body, then sucked into that game, and brought into the body of this unfortunate child.
At this moment, I am the unlucky one.
Staggering out of the alley, I shakily made my way to the nearest street vendor.
"Excuse me... where is this place?"
The peddler frowned, glancing at me as if I were an idiot. But he answered me anyway.
And that answer, really made me despair.
This place is really Marlize.
And as if that wasn't the worst of it, some god not only threw me to this land of Marlize, but also threw me to the Polin city.
Polin, an extremely insignificant city, located on the edge of Lemas, one of the three great empires of mankind. But this is the place where all the disasters that have befallen this world originate.
Polin, the site of the first World Eater disaster.
World Eater is the title given to an alien species that does not belong to this world, and they are certainly not friendly.
Polin, was the first tear in this world that the World Eaters tore open, from there they stabbed into this world like a swarm of locusts swarming into a wheat field, their goal being to eat everything.
I'm dead!
Just as I was about to give up, a blurry screen suddenly appeared before my eyes.
My eyes lit up, because it seemed like I had found my salvation?
With a spirit of anticipation, I ignored the strange looks of the people around me on my strange expression, my eyes were focused on that screen.
But, the next second, I was petrified.
What appeared before my eyes, that screen, was the familiar quest screen every time I played Marlize Online.
Marlize Online's quest screens are usually categorized by their colors. With white being the easiest, green being normal, blue being a bit of a challenge, yellow being somewhat difficult, orange being fairly difficult to complete, and red being super difficult.
And black…
The quest screen is black, which means the difficulty is at hell level.
And what I see now is a pitch black quest screen, like an abyss pulling me down.
"Save Polin from the first wave of World Eater invasion.
"Reward, skill [Reinforcement]."
"You have to be kidding me!"
I scratched my head and screamed.
The first World Eater invasion, I don't even want to talk about the difficulty, but what the hell is the reward?
[Reinforcement].
Okay, first I want to apologize to all the Marlize Online players who use [Reinforcement], but this skill is a damn thing that never grows.
It can't be upgraded, it can't be leveled up, and despite its wide range of applications, the damn thing never really proved to be very useful.
The power system in Marlize Online is quite unique. By harnessing the Aether particle, or what can be called the fifth element, those who control the Aether can manifest their powers and skills outward, and that is the source of their power, this is what is called [Unique Skill].
For players like me, when I create a character, I can choose my own [Unique Skill] from a long list.
And of course, I also chose [Reinforcement], unfortunately this damn thing is too weak, I don't even have the materialized weapon of [Unique Skill] which is [Aether Weapon].
Even though I really like this game, I really want to curse the game developer for suddenly inserting that useless [Unique Skill].
