Chapter 6 - system

More than four years have passed since I awakened the system. In that time, I've learned a lot about it.

At first, the system felt like a riddle — like trying to read a language where I only recognized a few letters. But after years of study and experimentation, I can confidently say I've mastered its language.

And with that came knowledge. Though the system still hasn't answered most of my questions — where it came from, why I transmigrated, or what its true purpose is — I did discover one thing:

It was created by something — or someone — called the "God of Laziness."

Not that this changes anything. If that so-called god wanted me dead, I doubt he'd need to resort to some elaborate trick like a system just to manipulate me. So until proven otherwise, I'll make full use of everything it offers.

And what it offers… is power.

The more fame I gather, the stronger I become. I haven't made much progress yet — but then again, what can an eight-year-old possibly do to become famous in a world full of superheroes?

This world practically worships heroes. Other professions are often overlooked. Sure, there are exceptions… but not many.

Even if I haven't tapped into the system's full potential yet, I've reached an advanced level of mastery with one of my core abilities: Lifeweaver.

---

[Skill: Lifeweaver]

Type: Passive

Origin: System Integration Gift

Description:

Lifeweaver grants you an instinctive, spiritual bond with the plant life around you. You can sense a plant's "vital energy," detect its health, feel its emotions, and even stimulate its growth using your own life force.

Active & Passive Effects:

Vital Sensitivity: You can sense whether a plant is sick, weak, or healthy just by being near it or through touch.

Basic Natural Synchrony: Upon touching a plant, you can harmonize with its energy, healing or strengthening it.

Growth Stimulation: With focus and intent, you can accelerate a plant's growth, trigger budding, and restore vitality — even in harsh environments.

Subtle Communication: You can instinctively feel the plant's reactions — comfort, unease, alertness — without words.

Limitations:

Stronger effects require physical contact.

Doesn't work on dead or artificial plants.

Large-scale control or shaping isn't possible — yet.

> System Note:

"Life pulses beneath your fingers. Learn to hear the whisper of roots, and they will grow in your name."

---

I've taken this ability as far as I can over the last few years. I spent more time in parks and my mom's flower shop than I did at home. I even managed to break my addiction to technology.

Thanks to that, I can now manipulate plants within a 10-meter radius — with near-perfect control — even without touching them.

It might sound like a weak starting ability, but Lifeweaver is only the beginning. It's the root — the foundation for a whole system of botanical manipulation that could grow into something far more powerful.

And how do I know I'll unlock more skills?

Simple. I already did.

---

I'm eight years old now and enrolled in elementary school.

In fact, I'm having this little internal monologue right now — sitting on the school rooftop, staring at the clouds and reflecting on everything that's happened.

After passing a test and an interview, I earned a full scholarship to the top school in the region: Shōmei Elementary School.

Getting into the richest, most elite school around had its pros… and cons.

The cons? It's full of spoiled kids, and the academic pressure is brutal.

But the pros? Worth it. Access to cutting-edge research, Quirk-related materials, advanced labs, brilliant teachers — everything you could want.

Building fame in a place like this wasn't hard. If anything, it was too easy.

In my first year, I became the perfect student: top of my class, responsible, class president, and even part of the student council.

And once I maxed out the fame I could gain from those roles, I stepped down from all of them. Naturally. Babysitting elementary school kids was never part of my long-term plan.

There were plenty of kids eyeing my position, so finding a replacement was easy.

Who took over for me? Momo Yaoyorozu.

The first canon character I met face to face.

It actually took me a while to realize who she was — my memory of the anime is hazy, with only fragments of characters and events still intact.

Given how wealthy her family is, getting into the best school in the region was probably just a given.

As for our interactions? Just the basics — polite greetings and occasional small talk. She's definitely smarter than most kids our age, but she's still just that: a kid. And honestly, I don't have the patience for childish friendships right now.

---

A month ago, I unlocked another ability — a reward for becoming the most well-known student in the school:

---

[Skill: Charisma Pulse]

Type: Passive / Limited Active

Origin: Reward for Reaching Peak Notoriety Within the School

Description:

Charisma Pulse emits a subtle aura that influences how people perceive you on an emotional level. When activated, your presence becomes naturally calming, inspiring, and magnetic — making social interactions, persuasion, and leadership far easier.

Effects:

Comforting Aura (Passive): People around you feel calmer, safer, and more open.

Charisma Pulse (Active): Once per day, you can unleash an emotional "pulse" that amplifies the impact of your words. For several minutes, everything you say sounds more convincing, sincere, and emotionally resonant — without altering your tone or message.

Emotional Memory: People affected by the pulse tend to remember you fondly and with admiration, even after the effect wears off.

Limitations:

The active pulse can only be used once per day.

It doesn't work on people who are hostile or already have a strong negative opinion of you.

> System Note:

"Great leaders don't impose their authority. They make others want to listen. Your voice is a seed — and now it blossoms in hearts."

---

Physically, I've grown stronger too. I can now lift about 15 kilograms with ease. That might not sound like much, but for an eight-year-old with no strength-based Quirk? That's impressive.

This skill has made dealing with adults — especially teachers — effortless. Even when I stay quiet, I leave a strong impression. I've become that kid: the one other parents mention when lecturing their own children.

Ironically, I barely put in any effort to maintain that image.

But honestly? That's just one more piece on the board.

The world is vast.

And I've only just started exploring the garden.
