Cherreads

Chapter 7 - Mission Accomplished!

Traveling in that ship that was designed for babies was not at all comfortable, Radissa was cramped in that small space, where she could barely move.

Given this uncomfortable situation, she chose to let her body fall into a deep sleep until the moment she arrived on the new planet.

She chose a planet that was in another star system, to have a greater chance of finding advanced technology. Her thinking was simple, once a race had the ability to leave their own planet, they would start visiting the planets in their star system, either to unite or conquer them. If Xylos had no notion of aliens, it was most likely that there were no developed planets nearby.

At the same time, Radissa didn't want to go too far, after all, besides the time for her growth, there was still another problem, the ship's fuel.

In theory, this ship would be used to reach its destination planet and would most likely stay there, or be rescued by larger ships, but it would not be used again by the same Saiyan who lost it, so its fuel was enough for the outward journey, but not the return journey.

Compared to the initial amount, the ship now had less than 1/3 of the fuel, which would last for a few months of travel.

'I can't afford to go to great distances, nor visit all the planets in my path, so I will need to visit a planet inhabited by a star system, hopefully one of them will have a ship more suitable for my growth'

Her determination was strong, but she also had her secondary plan, but neither of them guaranteed success. In the worst case scenario, she would be stranded on a devastated planet.

Perhaps before she had feared for her death in the event of her plan b, but now she was confident. Since in the eyes of the Frieza Empire, she was just a low-class Saiyan who was lucky enough to survive, even if they decided to kill her, there wouldn't be any powerful warriors being sent to do it.

In the remote possibility that Frieza felt threatened by the existence of another Saiyan, some common soldiers would probably be sent, with power around 1,000 to 1,500 PL, that much would be enough to deal with a low-class Saiyan.

This much strength might be a bit challenging for Radissa currently, especially if it was a group of them, but she would still get stronger in the meantime, so she could solve this without any problems.

In this scenario, she would steal one of her killers' ships and travel through space again. In the end, the worst case scenario for her would be if no one ever came and there was no technology on the planets she visited.

...

After just over a week of travel, he had reached his destination, a rocky planet that had a gravity lower than Xylos's, but still higher than Earth's.

The ship's information about the planets was only from those that were inhabited, so Radissa knew that regardless of which planet she chose, there would be life there.

To the Saiyan girl's disappointment, not only were they all weak, the most powerful reaching 400 PL, but the dominant race on this planet was so primitive that they didn't seem to know how to speak.

After spending a few days on that planet, as if she were a tourist, just observing the landscapes, Radissa returned to her ship and left that planet.

Two more weeks passed and she visited another planet, this one so horrible that Radissa took a trip around it and left the same day.

It was a wild planet, there didn't seem to be a single being with a brain in that place, everything tried to kill him, but they simply didn't have the strength to do so.

'I'm feeling unlucky, but I won't be discouraged, there's still fuel left to visit a few more planets!'

...

"What the hell!" Radissa let out a furious scream.

She was already on the eighth planet and none of them had technology even remotely close to creating a ship capable of traveling through space.

Two planets ago she encountered a race that had technology comparable to the 18th century, this was in comparison to her old world, which even in more current times, did not have enough technology to leave its star system.

If it were a more evolved race, with technology similar to that of Earth in this world, even if there was no ship, Radissa could try to negotiate with them, offering her small ship to be studied and then they would create a new one.

Even though the existence of geniuses like Bulma and her father is unlikely, there would certainly be some scientists capable of studying the ship and, in a few years, creating something similar.

But that no longer mattered, that planet was not evolved enough and Radissa had left it behind.

The ship's fuel was no more than 5% of its initial amount, this was enough to travel for two weeks in space, but it was very risky to go to the fuel limit, this could end up with it not being able to reach its destination.

So the best decision was not to travel any further. Knowing this, Radissa put the idea of finding advanced technology aside and focused on that star system.

Traveling just within the star system was easier, it didn't take as long, so even if she visited all four planets in that star system, she still wouldn't run out of fuel.

Since she couldn't get her own ship, she needed to take over a planet and send out the alert, then pray that this message would reach Freeza and his soldiers.

But since she didn't want to risk it, especially since she was too weak in case they tried to kill her, and also because she didn't want to expose her full strength in case they came to help, she needed some more time training.

She needed to be strong, but also be able to control her power so that others would not suspect that she was potentially dangerous.

With that in mind, she would explore those four planets and choose one to live on for the next few years, training until she felt completely confident.

...

Unknown Planet, year 746.

It was just another day like the more than a thousand days that Radissa had spent in this place, the days were slightly longer than on Earth, so she saw the sun rise less than she would have seen there, but that had little effect on her life.

The blue planet looked like a primitive and wild version of Earth, which was pleasant enough for the girl to feel good about living there for so long.

It was tedious to spend years without interacting with anyone, but her training and planning kept her sane.

The gravity of this planet was about 8x that of Earth, this was not a problem, in fact it was the biggest positive point of this place.

Because of the high gravity, all the animals in this place were strong, but curiously, there were none with power exceeding 1,000 PL, so Radissa didn't even care about them, she hunted some to eat, and also slowly exterminated the dominant race, to complete her mission, even on this different planet.

There were two moons on this planet, so Radissa was able to train something she couldn't do until then, her transformation into an Oozaru.

She had enough time to discover some interesting things, but the beginning was quite turbulent, she could still remember the first times, where she had lost consciousness when transforming and ended up destroying some mountains on this planet.

Over time, she gained enough control to be fully conscious during the transformation, but that was not the outcome she sought.

The 10x multiplier was surprising, but she needed a full moon to transform, and even if she figured out how to make an artificial moon like Vegeta, it would still have several inconveniences.

If she had her tail ripped off, or the moon was destroyed, both easy solutions for those who knew about the Saiyans, she would instantly lose her transformation.

There was also another problem, which she realized even better as she transformed so many times, Oozaru was slow, even if her speed increased, it certainly couldn't keep up with her strength, and the energy expenditure was tremendous, to the point that simply attacking with full force a few times would lead her to exhaustion.

In her base form, as long as she concentrated a little, she could strengthen an attack, which could easily reach twice its raw power, and even doing this a few times, she wouldn't exhaust herself so quickly.

Sure, it was still worth transforming into an Oozaru, but that's disregarding techniques like the Kaioken. If she learned the Kaioken, even with the problems with that technique, as long as she could get a 5x multiplier, Radissa would probably opt to use it instead of transforming.

Radissa had watched the entire anime, so she knew a lot of things that would only happen in the distant future. She could remember how in the Cell saga, Vegeta and Trunks used a different version of Super Saiyan, one that they soon abandoned because it was too strong but lacked speed.

Both they and Goku understood that this was the wrong path. Radissa couldn't help but compare that transformation to Oozaru.

Despite the appearances being very different, the logic was similar, the body getting bigger to have more muscles and more raw Ki, as this impaired their mobility.

So she thought about doing it like Goku, of course in a different way because they were two different situations, but the thought was almost the same, getting used to the transformation, and then taking a step forward.

And after a lot of training, she discovered and understood many things much better.

At some point Radissa understood, if the full moon was something completely necessary, there would be no way an artificial one like Vegeta's could serve as a substitute.

The full moon was like a spark that helped to light the fire, but with good Ki control, she could create fire without any spark. It took a while, but she managed to do it, the transformation could be done at any time.

This gave her much more time to train her transformation, since she no longer had to wait for the full moon. But that was just the first step, her real goal was to transform that giant furry thing into something not too far removed from its base form.

'The peak of a Saiyan is to use all the power of the transformations in his base form, at least that's what was implied when Gohan had his potential awakened in the Majin Buu saga'

She had a strong conviction that this was the right path, even if the other Saiyans hadn't tried to master their Oozaru form, she would. She wouldn't jump straight to Super Saiyan, she would follow the gradual progression of her race.

In her view, these transformations were like steps, even if there was a possibility of skipping one of them, it was something rushed, skipping over them instead of following the normal progression, her steps would not be steady, and perhaps this would make the next step difficult.

Radissa would plant her foot on the first step, then take the next step, and then repeat the process, until one day she reached the top.

On that day, no different from the others, she was celebrating her 9th birthday, at least in this world, and there was no better way to celebrate than finally sending the signal from her ship.

'Now I will begin my journey, Freeza will see me as a new soldier, but he will be creating the Super Saiyan who will kill him!'
