Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Little Medusa Fears No Hardship

"Host, as I just mentioned, you have successfully won the goddess's heart. Combined with the consummation and her virgin blood, your body has naturally received a blessing. Under this blessing, your strength, defense, and resistance to debuffs have all improved to some degree," the System explained.

"Oh, is that so? That's an unexpected boon." Takashi Kuroda felt the power within his body and confirmed that it had indeed grown stronger.

"Well then, it's a new day. Do you have any plans, Host?" the System asked.

"I need to visit Sakura in the morning. Now that I've become her nominal teacher, I should actually teach her something. System, do you have any magecraft texts related to the Imaginary Numbers attribute?" Kuroda inquired.

"I do, but you'll need to exchange them for Villain Points. Ah, right, I almost forgot—aside from the gacha function, this System also comes with a System Shop. You can directly use Villain Points to purchase items inside. The shop contains both fixed and refreshable items. Fixed items are marked with a red border. The shop refreshes once a day. Coincidentally, the item you need has appeared in today's refresh."

"Hmm… I'll take a look later. Medusa." After responding to the System, Kuroda turned his attention to little Medusa, who was still curled up in the corner of the bed, and called out to her.

"! Master, are you asking me to serve you as well? But… I'm not ready yet… and I don't know if my sisters would approve…" Little Medusa glanced at Stheno and Euryale, who were already exhausted and on the verge of falling asleep again. She gulped, then shakily crawled forward and whispered, "Master… please be gentle with me…"

"Hah?" Kuroda was momentarily stunned before quickly shaking his head. "Medusa, that's not what I meant. I was just saying that you should take care of your sisters for now. I need to go prepare for today's lessons."

Kuroda didn't push things further for two reasons: first, it was almost time for Sakura's morning lesson, so there was no time for another round. Second, his impulsive actions earlier—taking both of Medusa's sisters—had clearly left a strong impact on the little Gorgon. It seemed she wasn't entirely eager for such things, and since Kuroda had a favorable impression of her, he saw no need to force the matter.

That said, just because he wasn't indulging now didn't mean he never would. Having already claimed the two older sisters, there was no way he'd leave little Medusa untouched. After all, everyone knew that men loved nothing more than completing collections and unlocking all possible CGs. Kuroda was very interested in adding Medusa's scenes—as well as a threesome with all three sisters—to his gallery.

"Oh…" Medusa nodded dejectedly. So, her charm really couldn't compare to her sisters'. The Master wasn't even interested in her. It seemed she was doomed to watch him frolic with Stheno and Euryale every day from now on.

Sensing her mood, Kuroda patted her small head and said, "Hey, don't look so down, Medusa. You won't be as cute like that."

"Eh? Cute? Me?" Medusa looked up, her violet eyes wide with surprise as she stared at Kuroda.

"Yes, Medusa, you're very cute. So cheer up. Take good care of your sisters—I'll call if I need you." He stroked her soft, delicate cheek. So plush… it's tempting to pinch and tease her a little.

With that, Kuroda stood up, summoned a dark mist to gather his scattered clothes, dressed himself, and left the room. Now, only the three Gorgon sisters remained inside.

"Hah… Master called me cute… Could it be true?" Medusa lightly slapped her cheeks to snap herself out of her daze.

"My dear little Medusa, I can't say whether Master's praise was genuine, but if you keep hitting your face like that, you really will become less cute," Stheno's voice suddenly rang in Medusa's ears, startling her.

"S-Sister?! You were asleep! When did you wake up?!" Medusa whipped her head around and saw that not only was Stheno awake, but Euryale was also stretching lazily, fully conscious.

"We woke up when Master called you. Hmph, men really are brutish creatures. Once they get what they want, they stop treasuring it. But I suppose I'm magnanimous enough to forgive Master for such flaws," Euryale remarked before sniffing the air and murmuring, "The scent is so strong…"

"Since when has 'magnanimous' ever described you, Sister?" Medusa couldn't help but think.

"Little Medusa, you're not thinking something rude about us, are you?" Stheno's sharp gaze locked onto Medusa. She knew her youngest sister too well—that expression always meant she was silently criticizing them.

"N-No, Sister!" Medusa hastily denied.

"Since you're so cute that even Master acknowledged it, I'll let it slide this time. But speaking of which… Master's magical energy is incredibly dense. A few more times, and I might get addicted," Euryale licked her lips, savoring the lingering traces of mana before exhaling a faint pink mist.

"It's fine. Our relationship is settled now—we'll have an endless supply of his mana from here on. Perhaps we can stay by Master's side forever. That's why we must protect him properly. Understood, Medusa?" Stheno smiled sweetly at her youngest sister.

"Eh? Me?" Medusa blinked.

"Of course. Did you expect your delicate elder sisters to fight for him? We're goddesses. Unless Master explicitly orders us, you're the one who'll be on the front lines. Or do you want your sisters to do such rough work?" Euryale grinned.

Medusa knew all too well that whenever her sisters smiled like this, someone was about to suffer—and that someone was usually her.

"Uu… understood," she relented with a sigh.

After breakfast, Kuroda assigned Zouken a task: spread the news of Sakura's adoption into the Matou family to Kariya Matou as widely as possible. Kuroda had no intention of wasting such a useful pawn, especially given Kariya's pivotal role in the story. He'd surely provide plenty of Villain Points.

Thus, Zouken set off to fulfill his duty. Meanwhile, Kuroda observed Sakura, who was still eating obediently. Since children took their time with meals, there was still a while before her lesson. He decided to browse the System Shop.

"Whoa, there's a lot here." A quick scan revealed dozens of items, but upon closer inspection, many were utterly useless. For example, "The Secret to the World's Best Mapo Tofu"—a cookbook priced at a measly 5 Villain Points—was completely worthless. Not only did Kuroda already have EX-ranked Culinary Mastery, which granted him all cooking knowledge and skills, but even if he didn't, why waste points on a cookbook when he could buy one at any supermarket?

There were plenty of other similarly pointless items. That said, a few high-quality goods existed—most just cost far too much. For instance, a Rune (from League of Legends' lore, not the game) was priced at a ludicrous 1,000,000 Villain Points. Kuroda was half-convinced this was sheer economic inflation.

As for the book he actually needed—"Imaginary Number Magecraft for Even the Most Talentless Bystanders"—its price was a staggering 5,000 Villain Points. That was equivalent to five Epic-tier gacha rolls! Worse yet, he was 20 points short. Pathetic. He couldn't even afford it.

"System! Get over here and explain this!" Kuroda jabbed a finger at the unaffordable magecraft tome and demanded answers.
