The large wasteland of chaos sprawled as Hiroshi stepped into a city carved from nightmares—sprawling structures twisted like bone and obsidian, the streets filled with the scent of sulfur and whispered curses. Dressed in a Japanese Kimono that made him stand out, he would soon start walking around, his hands tucked into his sleeves.
The creatures stared at him with interest but some with fear in their eyes. Every now and then a whisper from those that showed fear a light. "Is that him?" or "I thought he was dead".
One of the things would approach him and turn its head to the side with a ugly grin on its face.
"What are you doing here, newbie? Eh?!"
Hiroshi would loom down at this creature, his eyes sparking a little red.
"Watch your mouth pawn"
A deep rumble of a voice would be let out of Hiroshi's mouth before his hand snapped to the neck of this. He'd then throw him off to the side into some building, sounds of cracking rock or maybe even bones could be heard, as the demons around looked in awe.
Hiroshi would ignore them and continue moving on.
Eventually he'd be standing in front of a larger building that was overlooked by Lucifer's palace.
He'd knock on the door and wait outside.
Soon after the door would open slowly and inside, Hiroshi would step inside. The place twisted in odd ways, soon an ominous echoing voice would be heard throughout the house.
"Hiroshi…long time no see, it's been 200 years since you've been in hell. I wonder what brings you here today? I heard you've tied yourself down on earth with the mistress of ice"
Hiroshi would sigh and step inside a room, inside it would be a grotesque creature of tentacles, something resembling a beholder.
Hiroshi with a stern face would stare at the thing as he slowly closed the door behind him.
"Azelor…it has indeed been a while. And you've heard correctly, I have indeed been with Akana, known as mistress of the ice in hell, unfortunately she passed away a couple of years ago–"
Hiroshi took a step forward and took a seat on a chair made of what looked like twisted dark flesh. A frown on his face appeared as he took his hands out of his sleeves.
Azelor didn't flinch, slightly only hovering above the ground as the echoing voice continued.
"That is unfortunate, she was an interesting demon that had great potential in magic though, her ideals didn't align well for the world we all live in. I heard also that she left you with 2 demonlings behind?"
Hiroshi would nod with another sigh as he looked towards Azelor.
"Indeed, and that is why I am also here today. I am seeking an audience with Lady Greed in regards to what has happened with my son…I have something for her to look into, let her know that it's something that has not happened before."
A big grin would appear on Azelor's face.
"Most intriguing, I am letting her know right now. Wait a second"
The space around Azelor would ripple with energy for a couple of seconds, and soon enough stopped.
After this a pink rift would open up and through it would step out Pandora, her hair swaying a little as the rift closed right behind her.
Hiroshi would give an instant bow with his head in respect to Pandora.
"Lady Greed, I thank you for allowing me to meet with you"
Pandora's steps would make soft sounds as she stepped towards Hiroshi, being at Eye level with him, even with him being seated.
"How could I not accept your audience request when you offer me something so intriguing. So say, what has exactly happened?"
Pandora said and with the flick of her finger a large Rosewood chair with Magenta cushions would appear out of the thin air, and Pandora would sit down on it, leaning against the armchair whilst looking at Hiroshi with a curious look.
Hiroshi would raise his head and look to Pandora with a nod.
"My lady, my son has awakened his demonic form, he's been attacked with a girl I took in for shelter by the DHC Hunters, according to the girl I took under my wing. Apparently Kaito had killed them all and after his form had dissipated he went unconscious, which as we all know is not normal, I was wondering if anyone was to know something it'd be you…my Lady."
Pandora would grin as her magenta eyes would sparkle and ripple with energy as she stared at Hiroshi.
"Well, well…seems like you were right, that is indeed quite intriguing. This has only ever happened once. There was once a demon that was possessed by a creature of the void…deepest ring of the hell, where dead demons are sent to as shades, no access to the rest of hell, and they all serve the King of Shadows. Or if I may, a shepherd of the Shadows.
A demon that was possessed by him had awakened this power only once, I didn't get to see it myself unfortunately. The demon died right after the form had gone away, causing quite a bit of chaos here in hell too."
Pandora would rise up from her seat. And walked towards Hiroshi again.
"Hiroshi, if I am right your son could be another victim of this creature…not to mention, the girl you've taken under your wing. I have quite an interest in her too, I will ask you to return home please…I will follow you soon after I make some preparations and I want to see both of these demonlings for myself."
A rift would open up behind her again, but she lingered for a second.
Hiroshi bowed and nodded.
"Yes…my lady, I shall head back home and prepare everything for your arrival. I hope that you will find my temple suitable to your needs, and that you will find more answers for me through your direct visit"
Pandora smiled softly and chuckled a little as she took a step back and disappeared in the rift that had dissipated right after.
Azelor would continue hovering in place as its eyes looked towards Hiroshi.
"Seems like you and your late wife had created quite the demon under yourselves…If Lady Greed herself takes an interest, your son's fate is no longer yours to decide. No one walks away unscathed when the Deadly Sins step in."
Hiroshi would sigh and nod as he stood up from the chair and moved back to the door.
"I hope that it won't be that way…after all my kids are the only thing I have left of my wife..and what would she say to know that Kaito is getting involved with the Deadly Sins…I wonder what she would have done if she was still here…"
He stood at the door and looked back to Azelor.
"Goodbye old friend, and thank you for the audience you got me with Lady Greed…as swift as it was, it got me some answers and even further investigation from her Highness herself. You've helped me a great deal today..consider your debt paid off"
Azelor's echoing voice would let out something resembling a chuckle as it stared at Hiroshi.
"Thank you…executioner Hiroshi"
As the words came out Hiroshi quickly walked away, a tense feeling in his chest as they did. The words still echoing in his head as a look of discomfort appeared on his face, while walking back to the place where his rift had appeared.
In Lucifer's palace Pandora appeared with a big smile in her room.
Her arms crossed as she looked out of the window, a soft chuckle under her breath.
"Kaito…and Tomia, you two…are truly interesting demons, almost makes me afraid of you both.."
Her voice trailed off as she stepped away from the window.
Darkness swelled, Kaito awoke in a pure abyss and darkness without a sense of depth in the area, he would not be able to tell ground from a wall.
He could barely breathe, the air around him was still heavy as he took his deep breaths.
Soon eyes would appear in the darkness, crimson pearls in the dark as it looked at Kaito.
Kaito would gasp for air, his breath catching in his throat as he froze up and he stared back at the crimson pearls.
A booming voice would echo through the nothingness all around Kaito, with no sense of what direction it could be coming from.
"A new vessel…and one that is able to withstand me…together we'll achieve many things young Demon, with me you'll be one of the most feared beings in the universe…maybe only rivaled by the one you hold dear…"
Kaito opened his mouth as if to speak, but no voice came through almost as if it had been stolen from him.
Soon a perfect copy of himself would appear in front of him, with the only difference being that the Crimson eyes in the sky now being in the place of the eyes of the copy.
Then the copy spoke with the distorted Kaito's voice
"We are now one, embrace your fate…embrace your power and use it in all its potential"
Kaito's copy would then start laughing as it dissipated into darkness.
Kaito would grasp at the air as if trying to catch his own copy before disappearing..but to no avail.
Soon Kaito's mind would snap out as he awoke in his dark room, his chest heaving quickly as he took deep breaths, his body drenched in sweat as he looked around. The room was dark and quiet, only to a soft sound of breathing to his side.
Next to his bed Tomia was sitting down, her head and arms laid over the bed next to Kaito…she was sleeping.
Kaito's mind was still a bit woozy as he woke up, he sat down to look down on Tomia. There were rags in a bucket full of ice and water, though already a little melted. Along with a thermometer not far away.
By the looks of it Tomia was taking care of Kaito and that made him smile a little as he looked down on her, the soft sleeping face of Tomia warming his heart up. Something about her made him feel really happy and he couldn't help but reach his hand out and with slight hesitation give Tomia a gentle pat on her hair so as to not wake her up.
"Her hair is so soft and fluffy"
He thought to himself as he ran his hand through her hair.
A slight smile appeared on Tomia's face, clearly making the sleeping girl more than happy.
The heat still lingering on Kaito's body he reached his hand out to the bucket of ice and rags and pulled out a rag to place over his forehead.
"What was that dream…what happened, I just remember the ambush and then…nothing it's all hazy"
He wondered to himself as he stared at the ceiling. With a deep sigh he'd closed his eyes and kept questioning everything in his head.
After a while Yui stepped in, the light from the hallway illuminating the room lightly, Yui tried to quickly hurry over to Kaito but noticed the sleeping Tomia and smiled, then she slowly approached and with a whisper leaned in to Kaito as much as she could.
"Hey there…I'm glad you're awake. How are you feeling?"
Kaito would smile a little as he saw Yui then looked up to her.
"Not great, I feel like I'm on fire…not to mention I had a nightmare of sorts…really odd one"
Yui would smile back as she nodded a little.
"We'll talk about it once you feel a little better and when dad comes back."
Yui would look at Tomia with a gentle grin, then she'd look back at Kaito.
"She insisted that she's the one to take care of you, you've been out for a couple of hours. She's been doing nothing but running back and forth and making sure that you have a cold rag, peace and silence. Seems like her own overworking has caught up to her and knocked her out here…want me to…wake her up and get her to her own room?"
Kaito would think for a second as he looked at Tomia, it'd be wrong for her to sleep like this..but, it would also be wrong to wake her up when she's getting to sleep so peacefully.
"No…let her be, she's not bothering me. And if she'll not be enjoying sleeping like this, maybe she'll wake up herself and get herself to her own room"
He smiled a little whilst looking down at her.
Yui noticed the smile and grinned, whilst looking at Kaito.
"You sure seem to care about her alot…do you like her?"
Kaito blushed a little and looked back at Yui.
"D-Don't be foolish, she's just a girl I met a couple of days ago…I just feel like she needs to be protected…she may be beautiful and pretty cute, but I feel like it'd be wrong of me to have those kinds of feelings towards her out of nowhere."
Yui nodded slowly with the same grin on her face.
"Suure…suure, brother. I bet that's exactly what you're thinking, such a cute and innocent girl…who would not want to protect her, well you two will figure everything out in time. For now, get some rest. See you in the morning Kaito"
With that Yui left the room, closing the door behind her, letting the darkness fill the room.
After a couple of hours Kaito woke up again, now the sun was spilling through the windows but something felt odd…Kaito tried to move around but was unable to.
As he looked around he'd see the body of Tomia laid beside him, her back to him covered by a separate blanket that Yui must have put over her.
The movement would slowly awake Tomia, she'd let out a groan as she'd rub her eyes and slowly get up. The blanket fell off of her as she'd looked at Kaito who was staring at her.
A big smile would appear on her face as she'd then jump on Kaito, wrapping her arms around his neck and letting out a soft chuckle.
"Kaito! You're alive! Oh I'm so happy!"
Kaito, a bit flustered and shocked, would slowly push off Tomia, as if to not have her on top of him directly.
"Yes..yes Tomia, thank you."
Before the two could do much else a sound of 2 voices could be heard behind the door, soon the door would swing open and in it stood Hiroshi and Pandora.
Pandora had her arms crossed as she looked at Kaito and Tomia with a smirk on her face.
"Am I interrupting something between you two?"
Tomia would stare at Pandora as she let go of Kaito, her body leaning a little over as if ready to pounce to protect Kaito.
Kaito quickly sat up and with a flustered look shook his arms.
"No! She was only happy to see that I'm awake…Lady Greed"
Pandora was surprised that Kaito knew who she was looking at Hiroshi.
"I see you've taught your children about us well. Though this little girl could be a little less worried"
Pandora said as she pointed to Tomia.
Hiroshi gave a slight bow to Pandora, with an apologetic look.
"Excuse me your Highness, I didn't have enough time to teach her much about hell, but do excuse her she's a little erratic."
Pandora waved her hand as if to dismiss the excuse as if it was nothing.
"Worry not, I do not expect you to raise another kid and teach her about our ways in such a short time"
Tomia looked around in confusion as the people spoke about the Pink haired girl.
"Who is she?"
Tomia said, looking at Kaito and pulling on his shirt.
Kaito leaned in to whisper to Tomia's ear.
"Deadly sin of Greed, one of the most powerful demons out there."
Pandora being able to overhear it looked to Kaito and Tomia.
"Thank you for letting her know Kaito, but with you two that has basically changed. When you two were sleeping I was able to evaluate you two…there is a great power within the both of you, and both of you are quite extraordinary."
Pandora said, crossing her arms and smiling as she took a step forward.
Kaito and Tomia both looked to Pandora in confusion as Kaito spoke up first.
"What do you mean…Lady Greed? Is it…related to my demon transformation?"
Pandora gave a single nod as she knelt down not too far from the two.
"Indeed, you're quick to catch on…you appear to have become a vessel for one of the most powerful demons in history, or maybe you're something more, maybe you're a completely new manifestation of the demon–as to what Tomia is, I am even more puzzled…she appears to have no demonic potential, meaning that she does not have a direct demon form of hers. But she has horns, and she can manifest a tail and claws…meaning that she is a demon and even in this form she appears to be extremely powerful, which brings up even more questions than answers to me."
Kaito was breath taken away, and in a sense it now explained the odd dream that he had but…still there were some questions he'd probably have to find out himself.
"I-I see…"
Tomia turned her head to the side, being more confused than anything. All this was basically new to her, she never heard of these things before other than what Kaito and Yui have been talking about every now and then. But she remained silent, her head lost in thought and in confusion.
Pandora took a deep sigh as she looked at Hiroshi and stood up.
"There is something more I have to tell you…and this may hit a little harder to you"
Hiroshi would look very disgruntled as he looked to Pandora.
"My lady…please"
Pandora chuckled and waved her hand at Hiroshi again.
"Calm down Hiroshi, I promised I won't take them away didn't I? After all, they're still too young and inexperienced to be useful to us…for now. We'll just visit once in a while"
Pandora cleared her throat and stared at Kaito and Tomia.
"You two, are the last two missing pieces in the chessboard, the queen and the rook. Pride and Wrath…both of you are something Hell has been searching for…centuries"
Kaito's voice got caught as he stared at Pandora in shock.
"W-What does that mean Lady?"
Pandora would giggle a little.
"You two, are the Deadly Sins that have been missing, you're new and young…you Kaito are a Deadly sin of Wrath..as seen through your power and how it activated itself. Tomia, you are Pride…again your power shows you're much a bigger threat than any other demon, you two even at such a young age hold much more power than all of the other Deadly Sins and Lucifer will want you by his side eventually…but, you lack the age and experience for you two to be useful yet so..you'll get to enjoy some more free time until your time comes. Eventually other Sins will come to visit you to meet you, I think the two of you will take a liking to Rose…and well, you might not get to meet Ivan due to his…laziness"
Pandora would chuckle and take a step back to the door next to Hiroshi.
"For now, I have to go. I have some important business to attend to and I've waited for you two to wake up way too long of time. So questions and wonders will have to wait, at least you get a chance to mull your questions over."
The usual rift Pandora uses appeared right behind her as she stepped over, giving a slight wave to Kaito and Tomia with a grin and just as she stepped through she let out a last sentence.
"Enjoy yourselves for now…new Lords of hell"
Kaito, Tomia and Hiroshi were left in the room alone as Hiroshi took a step forwards to Kaito, he placed his hand on Kaito's shoulder and let out a deep sigh.
"Sorry Kaito…you'll have a much harder life now…I wasn't able to protect you from it. But I'm sure you'll do me proud and you'll do what's right and Tomia…thank you for taking care of Kaito. I'm glad I accepted you into my house, please continue staying by his side and taking care of him."
Before he lets the two speak Hiroshi would stand up and start walking out of the room.
Kaito managed to form a sentence called out to his dad.
"T-Thank you father!"
Tomia finally being snapped out of the extreme shock of what has just been revealed to her also was able to form a sentence.
"I will happily do so Hiroshi!"
Though Tomia in her head saw that as an invitation to marry Kaito..just like she read in the comic books.
After some time, the both got up and went into the dining room to have a quick breakfast since Yui has out of worry apparently stayed up all night to take care of Tomia and Kaito in case something would happen.
The thoughts that the two of them just found out that they're the most powerful beings in the universe, still lingering in their heads swirling with thoughts about them.
For Kaito it makes him think about how he can protect his family even better now with his newfound power.
And as for Tomia, she's worried…she knew she was strong but to be this strong, she saw what she can do and fears it even more..if she's a Deadly Sin of Pride what if it will get to her head and hurt those around her…what if she'll hurt Kaito?
