Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Wandering in the city

Soon , Chen Lee entered the room without changing his disguise as in this world, people didn't use photographs because only fingerprints were used for identification. That meant he only needed to alter his fingerprints using his unique skill. Just as he was thinking this through, a round-bellied man approached him.

"Hello, Mister. How can I help you?"

"I need a fake identity," Chen Lee replied.

"Alright. What are your requirements?"

"I want the identity to have a long lifespan and it should have physically strength."

"Understood. I'll create a C ranked adventurer identity for you and that'll cost you five silver coins. "

After saying that, the man opened a drawer and took out a glowing blue crystal ball for scanning fingerprints.

Chen Lee handed over the coins while being intrigued by the device.

" Please put your hands on this ball to scan your fingerlrints. "

"Will scanning fingerprints be enough?" he asked.

"Yes. We'll also create a fake document at the administration office. It'll be ready by tomorrow. "

Then Chen Lee quickly placed his hands on the crystal ball, one after the other.

A soft chime rang out: "Ding! Scan complete."

" Now that scan is complete . You can come back tomorrow," the shopkeeper said.

"Alright. I'll see you then."

Then Chen Lee exited the shop and came back to the bar but he didn't stop inside it and quickly stepped outside into the lively streets near the bar. Now that his main task was done and he had nowhere else to go, he wandered around, taking in the medieval scenery. Though it was dark after sunset but the streets were beautifully lit by glowing lamps.

As he admired the view, a delicious smell reached his nose. Instantly drawn to it, he followed the scent and spotted an elderly elf woman running a small food stall. She was selling meatballs.

He quickly approached her.

"Hey, Grandma, what are you selling, and how much does it cost? It smells amazing."

She smiled and said. "Roasted orc meatballs with spices. One bronze coin per meatball."

"Alright, give me 100 meatballs."

The old elf was stunned. She looked at the average-looking young man and surprised by such a large order. Still, she packed the meatballs into a large bag and handed it over.

"That'll be one silver coin."

As he paid her, he also understood her surprised expression. After all , no ordinary elf could eat that much. But he wasn't ordinary—he was 250,000 times stronger than humans, and 2,500 times stronger than regular elves (who themselves were 100 times stronger than humans). His appetite was just as extraordinary. Though he could live without food for years, he still want to enjoy and taste every dish the universe had to offer.

He quickly tied the heavy bag behind his back and started walking while pulling out a few meatballs to eat as he strolled. The taste was incredible. The orc meat reminded him of pork, and he suddenly wished he had some wine to go with it.

His unusual appearance—carrying a huge bag and eating joyfully also caught people's attention. Before long, a beautiful young elf woman noticed him from a short distance.

Is that Shahjahan? What's he doing at the market? she wondered.

She then approached him from behind and called out,

"Hey, Shahjahan! What are you doing in the market?"

Chen Lee turned around and saw her—a beautiful elf woman with a small elf child beside her. He didn't recognize her but had a guess.

Could this be Mumtaz Mahal… Shahjahan's wife?

Suddenly before he could speak, the little child spoke up excitedly, "Dad! Where were you all day?"

Realizing the situation, Chen Lee quickly responded,

"I was out running some errands, and I brought something tasty for you—meatballs! We'll eat them when we get home."

The child beamed. "Yay! Mom, Dad brought meatballs! Let's go home!"

Mumtaz Mahal smiled warmly at her son, then looked at Chen Lee.

"Darling, let's go home."

Her beautiful smile took Chen Lee by surprise. He found himself nodding without thinking.

"Alright, let's go."

As they were going home and he didn't know the way so he quietly followed behind her while thinking carefully about how to avoid exposure before securing his new identity. Luckily, their home was close to the market.

As they entered the house, Mumtaz asked,

"Darling, did you finish your work with Ash?"

"Yes, it's done," Chen Lee replied briefly, trying not to speak much to avoid making mistakes.

The child piped up again.

"Dad, give me the meatballs! I want to eat!"

Chen Lee chuckled while acting and said, "honey, Wash your hands first. Then come to the dining table."

"Okay, Dad! I'll be quick!" the boy shouted, running off toward the medieval-style washroom.

Chen Lee handed the bag to Mumtaz.

"There are 80 meatballs left. You and the kid can eat them. I'll rest in the bedroom because I'm tired."

He hoped to avoid suspicion by pretending to sleep and planned to sneak out early in the morning.

"Okay, honey. Go get some rest," Mumtaz said gently.

Chen Lee silently thanked the Buddha that she hadn't noticed anything odd. He then quickly went to the bedroom and lay down.

Meanwhile, Mumtaz set the meatballs on the table. The boy returned shortly.

"Mom, where's Dad?"

"He's resting as he is tired."

"But I wanted to eat with him," the boy pouted.

"Sweetheart, don't disturb Dad. The meatballs are ready."

"Okay, then I'll eat now!"

The child eagerly sat at the table and began devouring the food. Mumtaz joined him, smiling at his delight.

As the night deepened, the street lamps slowly went out, one by one and inside their cozy home, the family also finished their meal and then cleaned up before heading to bed.
