Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Two Fires, One Bed

Nico didn't move.

Neither did Colson.

Sienna sat between them—half-dressed, lips swollen, heart in pieces. Her chest rose and fell like she couldn't breathe. Because she couldn't.

Not with both men staring at each other like two loaded guns.

Colson stood, calm as ever. "You've got the wrong idea."

"Oh?" Nico's jaw ticked. "Looked like the right idea from where I was standing."

Sienna spoke up, voice low, rough. "Stop. Both of you."

She grabbed a blanket and pulled it around her body like armor. "This isn't about pride. Or sex. Or territory."

Colson's eyes flicked to her. "Tell him, then."

Nico turned to her. "Tell me."

And in that moment, she saw them both clearly.

Colson—the man who taught her how to love, then vanished in smoke.

Nico—the man who kissed her like he wanted her soul, and stayed.

"I loved him," she said. "And it destroyed me. But I want you."

Nico blinked. "Now?"

She nodded, trembling. "Even now."

Colson's face didn't change. But his fists did—curling tight.

Then… he laughed. Bitter and low. "You're both in more danger than you realize."

He walked to the window, pulled out a phone, and tossed it to Nico.

"Check the news."

Nico did.

His eyes darkened.

The café was gone.

Burned to ash.

With two bodies found inside.

Fake IDs. Sienna's name on one.

Colson said nothing for a long moment.

Then turned around, voice like thunder.

"They think you're dead. Which means we've got one shot to end this. But if we fight each other instead…"

He looked at Sienna.

"I won't be the reason you die a second time."

Then, quietly, he left the room.

Leaving her and Nico alone.

Nico stepped toward her. Cupped her face. Kissed her—deep, slow, painful.

"I'm not going anywhere," he whispered.

But Sienna stared at the door where Colson had vanished.

And her heart whispered: One of them will break me. The other will save me.

She just didn't know which was which.
