Back to the real world, Martin sighed as he felt a familiar new energy run through his body and begin to feel stronger.
Along with Helena's energy manipulation, Null also gave his ability to open portals, a small increase in Martin's already monstrous attributes and a decent healing factor.
This was a skill combo that Martin was already used to. Despite not being able to travel long distances with the portals, Martin learned that there were more interesting ways to use them than just for locomotion.
Seeing that he was running out of time and that soon the soldiers would begin to attack, Martin decided to act quickly. He took a few steps back, took a deep breath and went through his bedroom window, breaking it and starting to fall towards the soldiers.
Everyone around was amazed by this scene, after all Martin had jumped from the 6th floor and even though he was a mutant, no one there knew if he could survive a fall from that height.
As he fell, Martin covered his body with as much heat energy as he could and when he landed on the ground, he released an explosion of fire and heat that knocked down most of the soldiers.
Those who were too close were pushed by the shock wave and incinerated by the heat, those who were at a considerable distance suffered burns of 2º to 3º degrees, and those who were not very close were just knocked down by the shock wave.
With this small attack, Martin managed to sweep at least almost half of the soldiers around, who had not brought adequate protections or heavy weapons.
Well, that's if we don't consider the sentinels. As soon as the destruction and death robots spotted the mutant, their eyes and mouths shone before releasing rays of red energy through their mouths.
Martin created 5 portals around him and 5 more behind the heads of 5 sentinels, making the rays hit the back of the sentinels' head, immobilizing them and making them fall to the ground.
The other rays he absorbed and returned in the form of an attack that went through the chest of a sentinel, making him fall to the disabled floor.
A sentinel tried to hit him from behind with a punch, but Martin smiled and opened a portal in front of him and another next to the face of the machine. The metal fist crossed the portal and left through the other, hit the sentinel's face and made him stagger to the side.
By this point, the soldiers had already recovered and started throwing everything they had against Martin. Bullets, missiles and rockets, everything hit Martin on all sides.
But that made no difference. The attacks didn't even scratch Martin and he absorbed the kinetic energy and heat generated by the projectiles.
Deciding to end that quickly, Martin opened a portal, crossed and left through another portal in front of the still fallen sentinel and divided the head of the machine with an energy blade.
Now, with only 3 sentinels left, Martin opened a large line of portals in all possible directions and positions and fired an energy attack towards one of the portals. The lightning-shaped attack crossed the sequence of portals and crossed the heads of the 3 remaining sentries.
Leaving only the soldiers, Martin covered his fist with electricity, heat, kinetic energy and a small amount of cosmic energy and punched the ground, causing a large explosion that destroyed the remaining soldiers and destroyed almost the entire block.
In the center of the explosion, Martin completely intact, opened a portal and disappeared from the scene.
