Chapter 67 - The search

Lin Feng's world was shattered as he realized that Freya was gone. He felt a wave of panic wash over him, his mind racing with thoughts of what could have happened to her.

He quickly rallied his guards and set out to search for Freya, scouring the city and surrounding countryside for any sign of her. But as the hours ticked by, Lin Feng's hope began to dwindle.

He knew that he had to act fast, to find Freya before it was too late. He couldn't bear the thought of losing her, of living without her by his side.

As the sun began to set, Lin Feng's search party came across a group of Helga's followers. They were hooded and armed, and they refused to give up any information about Freya's whereabouts.

Lin Feng's anger boiled over as he realized that these people were involved in Freya's disappearance. He knew that he had to make them talk, to find out what they knew about Freya's fate.

With a fierce determination, Lin Feng began to interrogate the followers, using every trick in the book to extract information from them. But despite his best efforts, they refused to break.

Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, one of the followers cracked under the pressure. "You'll find her at the old windmill on the outskirts of the city," he gasped, before collapsing to the ground.

Lin Feng's heart leapt with hope as he heard the words. He quickly rallied his guards and set out for the windmill, his mind racing with thoughts of rescuing Freya.

As they approached the windmill, Lin Feng could feel his anxiety growing. What would he find inside? Was Freya safe?

The windmill loomed before them, its sails creaking ominously in the wind. Lin Feng's guards surrounded him, their swords at the ready.

With a deep breath, Lin Feng pushed open the door and stepped inside. The windmill was dark and musty, the air thick with the scent of decay.

And then, he saw her. Freya was standing in the center of the room, her eyes bound with a cloth and her hands tied behind her back. Lin Feng's heart swelled with relief as he saw that she was alive.

But as he moved closer, he realized that something was wrong. Freya's eyes seemed... different. There was a strange glow to them, a malevolent energy that seemed to pulse with an otherworldly power.

Lin Feng's instincts screamed at him to be cautious, to beware of some hidden trap. But he couldn't help himself. He had to rescue Freya, no matter what.

"Freya," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the creaking of the windmill. "I'm here. I'm going to get you out of this."

But as he reached out to touch her, Freya's head turned towards him. And Lin Feng saw something that made his blood run cold...
